• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can I just disconnect the under Seat switch on my 2022 RTL?

One easy thing for her to try is.. When entering a curve press your foot down firmly on the outside foot board. I.e… when turning left, press down on the right foot board and vice-versa. This will help her maintain a proper riding position without her feeling like she has to struggle to stay on...

To kill or not to kill (switch), that is the question

That kill switch has given me that semi-panicked, sinking feeling you get when the bike won’t start when it was running fine a little while ago… on EVERY 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler I have owned. Years ago I belonged to a motorcycle club that had members who occasionally thought it very funny to...

Has anyone used Hippo Hands on their Spyder?

The heated grips on my '21 RTL are great. However, as you say, it's the back and tips of the fingers that get so darn cold. I bought Gerbing Gyde S4 battery heated gloves. Really do like them. I did not want to fiddle with plugging/unplugging wires to a heated jacket/pants outfit or otherwise...

Need to get more slack wiring for Helibar Install - anyone else? Solutions?

We pulled the right side panel off. There was a WAD of extra wire with a thin plastic clip around it. Cut the clip, got all the wire we needed.

What Hearing AIDS do you Recommend

Been through 5 sets of hearing aids through the years. 1st set was a Starky analog. You rolled the wheel up/down/off. I loved these aids. Dog chewed one up..non-repairable. Will have to buy new.. the technology is SO improved.. 2nd set was a $5,000 Starky digital set that was customized to...

2020+ RT Handlebars are too much of a reach for me - any other options?

I went straight for the HeliBars from the OEM instead of trying this, trying that. Love 'em.

Anyone tried the H&R heavy duty sway bar? Your experience?

I see you had a 2015 F3-S prior to buying your new incoming 2022 Sea-to-Sky. After riding the new Spyder for a little bit you might decide that a swaybar replacement might not be necessary. The 2020 and up year Spyders are a different ride from their ancestors. Whatever you decide keep us...

Is there a Decal to cover a scuff on a used bike?

Google search turned up all kinds and sizes of decals. There was lots of fun stuff to look at from bullet holes to bug splats to Wylie Coyote.. as mentioned earlier.

Great ride ended with hail, blown tire, and ...

As soft as the paint is on the 2020’s and up I am curious if the hail chewed it up very much or if it survived pretty well.. ? That was intense… glad you are ok.

    My new Utopia Backrest

From others I have seen it is the largest. I bought a Show Chrome driver back rest first for my ‘21 RTL because I needed one ASAP and could not get my usual Utopia as quickly as I wanted.. they were closed for a winter’s rest. What a disappointment! The Show Chrome felt like a tiny little...

    My new Utopia Backrest

I have set my Utopia pad such that it is in the lowest setting as I wanted the pad to be more in my lower back. Probably the higher the setting the more flat lie it would achieve.. i.e. .. the pad would stand up further from the back edge of the driver seat. As it is, the bottom of my pad nudges...

Dealer says Demo Rides are not possible - any suggestions?

You might call around to the area dealers you would be willing to travel to. I would be very surprised if "no demos" was ALL the dealers policy. There's no way I would buy a used bike of any kind without getting to ride it first. I have never encountered that policy when looking for a used bike...

Is there a brake light recall now?

At the 9300 mile oil change last month I asked the dealer about the recall. He did not know anything about it at the time but looked it up. He told me he would order the part(s) in and call me when he got them. I have yet to hear from him but received the official recall notice from BRP...

Having difficulties properly Filling the gas tank!

I fill the tank on my ‘21 RTL the same way. Its easy to do if the trigger pull on the gas nozzle has a gentle pull. Then I stop filling when I can actually see the gas in the neck of the tank. But if the trigger pull is hard I have to be careful to not fill as full or else its liable to burp...

SE6 downshifting erratic- anyone else? Ideas/fixes?

Just curious.. when are you using the manual downshifting? I might have misinterpreted your first post but to me it sounds like you are using it often. The only time I have had to manually downshift my 21 RTL was either going up or down a VERY steep incline. Otherwise I let the Spyder do its...

    The future is here

Maybe a very dark night, with totally quiet equipment and stealth backup racing in for assistance. They may take out a few of the bad guys on deck but the rest of the crew might get them... sacrificial lambs. Would be bad to take a hit and have holes punched in whatever float device they may be...
