• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A visit from a member here from Conn. tomorrow

I thoroughly enjoyed this writeup and look forward to Day 2. I didn't see this writeup until this morning as I was out riding all day yesterday, got home, glanced out here quickly, then had to play catch-up with home chores.

Pulled pork .... From a pressure cooker

Many years ago I used a pressure cooker for mostly tougher cuts of beef to put into stews or soups but haven't used one in a long time now.

Adding Ride On to your tires - Good, Bad, Opinions?

The Ride-On tubes contain x-amount of ounces of Ride-On. The tube is squeezed directly into the tire valve stem area. Example only… not intended to be used as fact…. if the tube contains 6 oz and the recommended amount to apply to one tire is 12 oz.. you would need to buy 2 tubes for one...

Adding Ride On to your tires - Good, Bad, Opinions?

I'm sorry but I don't really remember... whatever they recommended for the size tires I had on the Gold Wing trike. I know I had a BT46 on for a front tire but honestly don't remember what car tires were on the rear... that was in 2017 and I have since sold the trike and bought the Spyder...

Ride feel - should I set-up for 2-up now or get used to solo first?

Go solo first and get comfortable. Your wife will probably need a few instructions along the way. Be patient, go slow. I have always been a solo driver on all my motorcycles/trike/Spyder... until one day this past spring a passenger lady in the group said she could not stand to ride her...

From a Beloved 2001 Wing to a 2014 Spyder RTL in 23 years

If you haven’t already done so, you might want to find a 2020 and up Spyder RTL to demo.. at a dealer, rental or Spyder riding course… just for comparison. Also.. too much air in the tires will leave it bouncing around like a beach ball…

Has anybody installed the OEM adjustable wind deflectors on 2020+ RTL?

Both, depending if you have them open or closed. Open flows more air onto you. Closed makes the air flow more outside your seating space. If it's cold, close them. If it's hot, open them.

Has anybody installed the OEM adjustable wind deflectors on 2020+ RTL?

I had the dealer install the OEM's on my 2021 RTL. It does make a little difference but not much... to me anyway. But, having been used to the Baker Air Wings on other touring bikes I rode, there is just no comparison as to the amount of wind moved toward you or away from you for personal...

Brand new 2023 S2S Clunks going into Reverse - is this OK?

We used Amsoil in all of our 2-wheelers... all were Japanese bikes: Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki... really made for smooth shifting. Next oil change I will go with Amsoil on this 2021 RTL although it is shifting ok. Have had the dealer do the recommended first 2 oil changes already. Guess I will...

Adding Ride On to your tires - Good, Bad, Opinions?

I used Ride-On in my Gold Wing trike tires. Really did like it. First time I drove it after putting the Ride-On in the tires it scared the be-jabbers out of me - tires jostling like I had 3 flats.. but after a couple of miles it smoothed out and was an excellent ride. I knew to watch for...

Questioning wearing Ear Plugs while riding

I used hearing protection for all my riding years on 2 wheels.. since 1978. However, it turns out that my poor hearing status now probably stems from inheritance from my mother and her father .. my grandfather. My 2 siblings did not ride motorcycles but also apparently inherited the hearing...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I can see this happening... LOL!! I carry a cargo net and bungees in case I find something too big to put in the frunk or trunk or sidebags.. can strap it to the empty passenger seat and those grab rails.

    Ultimate floorboards or smaller floorboards?

I have large floorboards on my 2021 RTL and I employ that method on our twisties. Started doing this on my Gold Wing trike many years ago... its just a normal habit now - don't even think about it. Let us know what you decide and how it goes. Cheers!

    Ultimate floorboards or smaller floorboards?

[/B][/COLOR] Have you tried this? When in a turn to the left, push down on the right peg (or floorboard, whatever you have). Turning right, push down on the left peg (or floorboard, whatever you have). This WILL counter that "throwing me off" feeling. Try it!

Is there a reason people seemingly don't research correct prices?

Unless you are trying to get rid of an item ASAP and don't care what it brings then it stands to reason to start high - you may as well get as much as you can for it. You might accidentally come across the person who will pay the high price. One can always lower the price but I have never...

Any ideas/advice on raising foot boards 6" for driver?

Can the child mount as if to sit in the driver’s seat then just scoot backward onto the passenger seat? Getting off maybe they could remain in place and throw one leg over to the same side as the other leg and scoot down to the driver seat then use the driver foot board to ease down..??
