• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shop time for no Reverse - The long wait is almost over!

I guess I am lucky. There are two shops here that work on Spyers and are better then the dealer and a LOT less expensive. You might want to check in the area to see if there are any shops that do Spyder work.;)

    Shout out to Motorcycle Dave

It might be great, but, if it does not say Harley-Davidson on it, he wouldn't use it.:banghead:

    Shout out to Motorcycle Dave

Looking for a two pack of intercom systems for 1/2 helmets. Dave recommended the Sena SPH10H-FM. Haven't bought yet, but, Dave is at least $93.00 LESS then anyone else that I have been able to find. Bravo Dave.:coffee::clap:

Looking for a good Central Florida shop & service center

My Spyder was there for three weeks waiting to get a seal replaced. Going over there Tuesday to get the tire balance checked. They're always busy because they know what they are doing.

Shimmy at about 48 mph up to 56 mph - best guess?

Spoke to shop (not dealer). Says out of balance wouldn't cause shimmy, just vibration. Bringing it in next Tues for look see. Hopefully, nothing super serious.:dontknow:

Shimmy at about 48 mph up to 56 mph - best guess?

Finally got a chance to get a good look at the front tires. Federal Formoza's. As I said, almost new. The thing I noticed was that there were no balance weights on either tire, inside or out nor any indication that there had ever been. Had they shimmied all the time and I never noticed? I...

Shimmy at about 48 mph up to 56 mph - best guess?

Wish we were closer. Will try a different repair shop (notice, I didn't say "dealer") to check the wheel balance after I take a look to see if there is anything obvious.

Shimmy at about 48 mph up to 56 mph - best guess?

I was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately, it happens on a couple of different roads, including two newly paved roads.

Shimmy at about 48 mph up to 56 mph - best guess?

The shimmy is definately in the handlebars. Could the rear wheel cause something like this?

Shimmy at about 48 mph up to 56 mph - best guess?

Can anything can be done about it?

Shimmy at about 48 mph up to 56 mph - best guess?

I'd be surprised if it is tread seperation. Almost brand new auto tires. Will see about the wheel bearings although, no lead up to the shimmy, was just there one day.

Shimmy at about 48 mph up to 56 mph - best guess?

2015 RTL. 19,000 miles. Almost new auto tires front and rear. Tires have been balanced, laser alignment, BajaRon sway bar, 18 psi front, 20 psi rear. Have tried 16 psi front. Same difference. Just started getting a shimmy starting at about 48 mph, at least up to 56 mph. Prior to this...

Also, the Spyder dealer in Malabar has a ROLO laser alignment system if you want to get that done. Don't know how much.
