• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Bye bye Spyder

Just gave my Spyder to my youngest son. He lives about 50 miles from me. Wasn't ryding very much. I used to sit in the garage with the door open just looking at it. I will miss it, but I think it will get used a lot more than I was using it.:(:(:(

    Ethanol - interesting new study

From a fraternity brother of mine from Wisconsin. True. Local, central Wisconsin, farms have been expanded to supply the demand for more corn for the ethanol market. Hedge rows removed, irrigation wells and systems installed, grain dryers (think LP gas burners) and storage bins erected, more...

What benefits from Ethanol Free fuel & other questions?

The discussion begs a couple of questions. 1. Since base gasoline is 87 octane, and alcohol increases octane being 100, wouldn't 10% alcohol increase the octane? Yet, it is shown on the pump as still 87 octane. 2. The higher octanes shown at the pump...do they contain more alcohol thereby...

Look up Baldwin Iron Works. They have a nice set of pegs for RT's (maybe others too) and are the least expensive available.:2thumbs:

2020 RTL BAJA Ron Sway Bar Vs Stock Vs Shocks - your experiences?

Don't know about the newer ones, but on my 2015 RTL, the sway bar was steel. The BajaRon is also steel, but greater diameter and, as I understand, a different steel that makes it stiffer. I now have the BajaRon. Well worth it in my opinion.:2thumbs:

    Most fantastic shine ever

When I got my Spyder back from the shop, the wheels were filthy. My lovely wife volunteered to wash them down and clean them. About an hour later, she came back in. I asked what took so long. She said she decided to wax the whole machine. She said go take a look. I couldn't believe what I...

Convince non-Spyder guy about tire pressures

Finally got my Spyder back from the shop after three weeks, delayed mostly because the whole family was sick. They had to balance the front the tires twice to get rid of the shimmy. (or so they claim. We will find out) And, they are auto tires. Started ryding and checked the TPS. They had...

Shimmy at about 48 mph up to 56 mph - best guess?

Finally got it into the shop. It will be a few days (I hope) and we'll find out. Driving there, I accelerated to above 48 mph. Still a little shimmy (in my mind), but not as bad. Maybe its my imagination?:gaah:

Shimmy at about 48 mph up to 56 mph - best guess?

I use a shop that works on all cycles including Spyders. Very good, very knowledgeable. If you can get in and out in 2 weeks, consider it a victory. Hope to bring it in this week. Have been sick for the last week.:D
