• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Almost had the big one yesterday - pallet fell of a truck into our path!

German Shepherd's can easily do 3500-4K of damage to a Spyder at 60 MPH. I steered through the accident unharmed. Middle of first day of a 6 day ride. Stop leak in the radiator, nerves calmed down in a hour and a half or so, and I was able to complete the bucket list ride a month before turning...

I really like my aftermarket 3-d replacement buttons. I will message you with source for button.

Most amount of miles/KM you have ridden in one day on the Spyder

And the old bull said to the young bull, why don't we walk down the hill vs your suggestion of running down and mount one, and mount them all.

Paint issues on 2023 RT - poor paint/clear coat quality or just normal? Anyone else?

Starting in 2020 fit and finish, and paint quality seemed to have gone down hill. Complains of too easy to scratch etc. I would never get one of the matte paint finishes.

Left hand lower side panel “loose” - is this normal?

It is a fact of life with the Spyder that tupperware comes off and on all the time. That panel requires a plastic magnet to hold it out a bit when installing the piece above it!!!!

Left hand lower side panel “loose” - is this normal?

Exactly, there are little tabs that do not get in the right place when putting the panels on.

Any reason NOT to buy a 2012 RT Limited?

Stepping up to to a 1330 motor and SE6 would be a better choice in the long run if you plan on keeping it for a while. Low miles on a twelve year old machine might not be the best way to go. The 990 engine creates a lot of heat on the driver, so if you are going to ride it in the summer months...

    That sounds like experience talking!

    Steering Darting issue solved!

At 1Mbits/sec, for 20,000 per second, yes a short message could be sent, given low other "traffic". https://kvaser.com/can-protocol-tutorial/#:~:text=Maximum%20Bus%20Speed,be%20considered%20for%20special%20applications.

Is the Glove box waterproof, before I learn the hard way?

Which year/model? Put your ride info in your Signature line, so one does not have to go hunt for your info to find you have the most current model. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?146210-A-Request-Passed-On-To-All-Add-your-Spyder-Year-model-to-your-Sig-Line!

Trying to decide between this 2019 RT Ltd or a 2024 year/model - advice?

That depends, I picked up this 2018 with Elka shocks, 8k miles, OEM driver's backrest, and Chrome mirrors added by original owner for $15.5k in January. I like the digital dash.

Parking brake not working - what's the process to adjust? Does this look right?

I think that is just the beginning of the issues you are going to have, as it looks like it was driven of salted winter roads or in salt water. The caliper is rotated to the back out of position. The black part that is behind the parking brake cable in picture #1 should be attached to the swing...

Trying to decide between this 2019 RT Ltd or a 2024 year/model - advice?

If the 2019 is a chrome version, then it has the best-looking OEM front wheels ever put on a Spyder! I have two 2018's and have put PPA ORB wheels on both of them. Would have gone with the 2019 chrome wheels; however, they cost twice the cost of the PPA wheels.

Apollo Astronaut Bill Anders plane crash

I spent a lot of years cruising that area. We had our last boat 19 years. Sold it in the fall of 2015 as I was finishing my Commodore year with Shelter Bay Yacht Club. We had a waterfront home just South of the Rainbow Bridge in La Conner.

Need some screws for Left Combo switch - part number?

If you want screws you are going to have to source them yourself, as the control comes as a single complete unit. If my Spyder was not in the hospital I would pull screws and give you the dimensions, maybe someone else will do that for you.

When my Spyder gets out of the hospital I plan on take my lady friend on the Cascade loop. Will do it in two days, as I have a place to stay above Lake Chelan with in-laws or at sons second home in Sun Cove on the East side on the Columbia river 30 minutes away. Boatfixx, I grew up in Port...
