• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Battery drained after 3 & 1/2 weeks standing, cranking slow, and throwing VSS Error - is this normal? Any help appreciated...

The spyder has a pretty high paralytic current drain. If you have a meter that can measure milliamps of current, you could remove a battery cable, and insert the meter in the circuit and read the milliamps that flow with the key off. 1000 milliamps equals 1 amp. So if it reads 100 milliamps you...

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

If the dealer can't even read the recall, I am not sure that I would want them doing it!

Canyon Redrock Ride Review by Lamonster

I've got a couple of Canyon questions: Does the Canyon have integrated recovery points on the front and rear to hook up a winch line or tow strap; and Does the Canyon have a rollover check valve in the fuel tank vent line, and does it have an engine shutdown sensor in case it rolls over?

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

Funny, my dealer said BRP paid for the oil. However, they charged me for the oil filter, crush washers, and O-rings. The oil and the coolant have to be removed to pull the engine and tear down the transmission. So those two things are covered along with the transmission filter.

The R button, and how the 2024+ models select reverse gear - Do you think the function of the R and BRP Connect buttons be swapped?

Yeah, if someone has a broken one, I will pay the shipping to be able to look at one.

Any thoughts on Ground clearance on the RTL?

Front shocks with preload adjustment. Or install adjusters on OEM shocks.

The R button, and how the 2024+ models select reverse gear - Do you think the function of the R and BRP Connect buttons be swapped?

The neat feature that got rid of the R button on 2024+ units got me thinking! I have never used the BRP Connect button of either of my 2018. I would be cool if the function of the R and BRP connect button could be swapped. That would make it much easier to shift to reverse single handed. I...

Dealer says Car tires damage fenders - does this make sense???

When I was picking up my Spyder from recall last week my buddy who drove me there ask about getting a new rear tire mounted on his. I asked if we ordered a General would they mount that for him. Service said no, has to be a motorcycle tire. I said the Spyder has J style auto bead wheels!!! He...

Any thoughts on Ground clearance on the RTL?

OP says he is coming from a Goldwing, which is a open road cruiser. I do not think the Canyon comes close to that. The Canyon in my opinion is a solution to a non existing problem.

Any thoughts on Ground clearance on the RTL?

Sign up and take one of the Can Am sponsored training class. You do not steer the Spyder on the open road, you gently guide it. Try to steer it and it will be all over the place. I put mine on cruise control 90% of the time and just rest my hands on the handlebars.

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

Well, I got my Spyder back today. Rode about 12 miles home and then spent some time rerouting my battery tender wires to where they had been when I took it in. Rerouted the secondary seat release cable too. And setting the clock. They put about 2 miles on it in their check out ride(s). Going to...

On a Trail Rating System, I believe a Canyon Redrock can travel Level 2 Routes

Another question comes to mind. Does the Canyon have a roll-over valve on the fuel tank vent line and a tip over switch that kills the motor, like my SxS has?

On a Trail Rating System, I believe a Canyon Redrock can travel Level 2 Routes

Or a hybrid system with electric motors on the front wheels. Also needs a mount for a wench. Get rid of the belt drive. Back in the day, I had a three wheel Honda ATC - fail to make a hill on it and you were in a world of hurt, as you can not lay it down like you can a dirt bike. I think the...

Water depth for fording a river for Can Am Spyder Canyon

Being an avid SxS owner with a Kawasaki KRX 1000 with over 5000 miles in 4.5 years, I am waiting to read about the first recovery of a Canyon that went where it should not have gone, which to me is not very far off the payment. One wheel drive. Really, you want to go off roading in an one wheel...
