• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    CVT belt life

No YouTube style burnouts here, maybe about 7 short "chirps" in 12,000 miles. I mostly just cruise county roads. My Garmin shows about 35 mph avg. when I'm back home. Ya, I pick it up to 60 mph every so often. I bought an original BRP belt. I'll lift the clam up and turn on the tunes on a...

    CVT belt life

I'll soon be checking and maybe changing my belt, approaching 12,000, 7/'19 purchase. I'm wondering what measurements you are getting on your worn belts. My new belt measures .050 larger than the 1.445 measurement shown in the picture below. With a .050 tolerance, I'm thinking of changing mine...

Ryker CVT Drive belt flat spotted! Should I ride more aggressively?

That all depends on what I get on the measurement. I've read that they will last longer than 12,000 miles. How long, who knows? I am taking into consideration (assuming) that the narrower the belt gets, the quicker it wears.

Ryker CVT Drive belt flat spotted! Should I ride more aggressively?

Most likely B.S. From what I understand, driving aggressively puts more strain on the belt. In other words if you are not a burn out junkie, your belt will last, most likely, than 12,000 miles. In other words too shallow tread means under size belt width. I have a Garmin Bike computer. When I...

The cost to have a parking brake lock install on my Ryker?

AGREE, I drilled mine out, w/a step drill, 'cause I read somewhere here(?) that the kit is not all that easy to install.

The cost to have a parking brake lock install on my Ryker?

If you do it yourself, use a step drill. It will make a much better job. A set of 3 under 15$ on Amazon.

    Wheels falling off?

Watch real close, it does show 09-02-2021. The 02-2021 is a real quick flash. So SamH1, we all will be interested in what the problem was, so please let us know...WE don't want to start assuming yet. We been through all that before.

New member - Few new additions & looking for exhaust recommendations

For a good sound I'll install a stereo system (maybe next year) I'll even get one with a VOLUME control. Ya. I do agree the OEM mufflers are a little heavy. I'm 165 lbs so I can live with that.

Windshield for Ryker - what are you guys running?

Show Chrome is the same windshield I have. I'm also about 5"11''. One heads up though. Came out the next morning, after a ride, to the shed and noticed that one nut of four was missing that holds the windshield on. Others were slightly loose, so I put four nylon lock nuts on instead. No problem...

    Can Am does it again!!

I straightened my handlebars ALMOST the same way, But FIRST put in a 6mm (maybe a 5mm) bolt in steering linkage while the wheels are straight. That location is, if you are looking straight on at the front of your Ryker it's located near the the lower right side of side of the engine oil filter...

From reading Peters info at #2 I'd ask myself if I hooked up any aftermarket electronics recently and go from there.
