• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    BEST Warranty

If you have a Ryker it is still under the original warranty so there should be no charge for the wheel nut replacement.

    Kings Bay dealer

This is to answer Francis's question in earlier thread and may be of general interest to members in the North Fl and South Ga areas - I have had good luck with the Kings Bay dealer so far - Kevin in Service is very attentive and I believe they are an honest firm. I posted a thread several...

Thanks Francis - the dealer I purchased my Ryker from is in South Ga.

    BEST Warranty

Thanks for all this valuable information. As I understand it I can't by a BEST warranty in Florida but I can purchase it in other states (and can shop the price) and authorized Can Am dealers in Florida will honor the warranty if I need repairs covered under the warranty - is this correct?

    To Those Living In Florida

    BEST Warranty

I will want a BEST extended warranty in March 2020 for my Ryker 600 - my dealer is quoting $1,195 for 3 years. Are you saying I can buy this from any dealer and the price is negotiable? I appreciate your help.

    Living below your means

Hawk - you are a wise dude! My second car is a Ryker - why? - because in the beautiful climate that I enjoy 10 months of the year this is how I prefer to travel! I can afford another nice auto but I want the wind in my hair and although I am 77 years old I do believe I will ryde with the wind...

    Problem with side panel

I own a Ryker 600 and have 1500 miles on it in about 4/5 months. Have driven very carefully mostly 30 to 50 mph on good roads and am loving the experience. Have not had any accidents or hit any large bumps in the road. Just noticed that my left side panel (from drivers position) pictured below...

Apparently Not All Rykers Have Defective Wheel Nuts

Correct - the washer needs to be replaced per BRP - however the dealer that sold me my bike did not advise me and BRP did not either - it was another dealer with which I had work done locally! I think it is BRP's responsibility to advise re these things - I hope they do this and maybe I will...

    Ryker backrest

I posted this previously but it works great for me - neighbor sewed a pad encased in waterproof material and it is attached with Velcro - in the Florida heat the Velcro melted a bit so I had her attach a couple of straps that fit inside the top case cover and when pulled tight the pad stays well...

    Americans retiring broke

I have taught my children and will teach grandchildren "the power of compounding" - every dollar saved and not spent at the earliest age is worth so much more 45 or more years in the future - just look at the tables. For those that still have time - open an account with Vanguard (no advisory...

    The "honeymoon" may be over

Did some checking - looks like a yaw rate sensor issue - seems like a common fault - hopefully covered under the first year warranty.

    The "honeymoon" may be over

Thanks again Francis - I unhooked battery and re attached it and no difference - still showing same fault. I followed your instructions and initially it showed me UNI 15 - then I redid it and came up with codes C006C and C0063. Does anyone know what these codes mean or where I can look them up...

    The "honeymoon" may be over

Thanks Francis - my bike is at the same dealer you refer to and probably has the same problem but I would like to know if I can get a code earlier that would let me know. I did not buy from this dealer due to difficulties with the sales dept/m that I detailed in an earlier thread, BUT I did...

    The "honeymoon" may be over

Ok - kind folks - talk me off the ledge ;) After 3 months of trouble free zipping around town I decided to take my 600 Ryker to the dealer for a 1k (1.2k actually) mile checkup and oil change. Decided to go the fast way - I95 N for about 40 miles or so. Just as I was entering the highway at...
