• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyder in the shop!

Unbelievable! I went to pickup my Spyder this afternoon about 30 minutes before they closed. Before I took it home, I looked over. 1. one of the upper access panels not on correctly (right side for access to oil level and brake fluid) 2. missing small tupperware piece by steering column...

    Front Sprocket Failure

Happened to me at 28000 miles My Spyder is in the shop for this right now for this issue. According to the service manager, this is a common issue. He said that they get one of these a month in. BRP should put out a service bulletin to all dealers to check for this issue when doing any type...

    Spyder in the shop!

Latest Update! Good News!! Guess what it was??? The output shaft from the transmission is stripped!!! Just like Highwayman2013 said in previous post. Even though I suggested this to the shop two week ago, they finally checked it today!! So they are ordering a entire transmission and...

    Spyder in the shop!

The only thing I worry about now is when I'm going to get my Spyder back and in what condition! It seems that the shop is relying on BRP to tell them what to do next instead looking for the issue themselves. I am hoping the service tech does not return it with extra bolts/parts!:dontknow:

    Spyder in the shop!

I read your post. I think you are in a worst situation than I am!:yikes: Lets hope BRP support gets the message that there are some Spyder members that are not happy with their service.

    Spyder in the shop!

Still no Spyder Shop said that it is not the transmission. Told them to verify again that the front sprocket/gear for belt is good. They said it will be another 2-3 days of troubleshooting. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: Once they figure out the issue, it takes 2-3 days to get the...

    Spyder in the shop!

The Spyder tech does not work Mondays. I really dont think they know what the problem is. Last word from the shop was that they think it is a pressure problem in the tranny. The thing that frustates me is that you can hear that it is engaged but sounds like it is spinning on a shaft. I...

    Spyder in the shop!

Bad Update Got call from the shop. After putting it back together, NO GO! Still not engaging! They had to call BRP to look at possible transmission issue. Looks like no Spyder for another week!!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

    Spyder in the shop!

Then why on each service, done by the shops, does BRP comment on the RPM below 4000 on the report back to the user?

    Spyder in the shop!

Still going to cost me $$$ to get Spyder back Having the shop do the 28000 mile service while they have it. Saving about $300 on the entire service. Normally I would do it myself but worried BRP next time there is a questionable issue they might not cover. Got to keep the paperwork trail!! So...

    Spyder in the shop!

Update Shop said that BRP is going to do a "GOOD WILL" replacement of the clutch. BRP reported that they do not recommend using third party oil and that the BUDS report showed that I spend 75% of drive time below 4000 RPM. As far as the below 4000RPM issue, I explained to the shop that I...

Shop Update Shop states that all of the friction plates had abnormal wear. Shop sent photos to BRP for evaluation.

    Spyder in the shop!

Wearable parts If you think about it, ALL parts on the Spyder are wearable. Pistons, valves, crank.... Does anyone have a list of parts BRP states are "wearable" and are not covered under warranty? I agree the clutch on a SE6 should not have gave out at 28000. Dealer did give me a BRP case...

    Spyder in the shop!

Update Shop said that they are waiting for BRP to read the BUDS report. There are were no DESS errors. They are not going to order any parts until BRP responds. Another day with out my Spyder! :sour:

    Spyder in the shop!

UPDATE I got a call from the shop today and they said that it was the clutch assembly and they said that they are in talks with BRP to see if BRP will cover the repair. I have only had the Spyder for 18 months!!! And I have the extended warranty for three additional years!! They said that the...
