• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

When to go (Glacier National Park)

I agree but accommodations for staying in the area start closing down right after Labor Day. We went in early July and got lucky, roads were open and weather was good. You will not out guess the traffic. We did it on our Spyder and just had to be careful. Just accept it. Whatever you do...

    December Ryde

OK, we're cheating. We are in Arizona for the winter. Rain has kept us off for the last week but up to then, riding as usual.:ohyea:

    Pressure on new Vredestein tires

I agree. Even though my owners manual recommends 15 of the stock rubber fronts, I have run around 18 and got good handling and wear. I think these are a little stiffer so I will start at 16. I had to laugh coming home from the place where I had them installed. He had put 35 PSI in them...

    Pressure on new Vredestein tires

Thanks to all for the input . I think I will start at 16 on the front and 20 on the rear and see how I like the ryde and handling.

    Pressure on new Vredestein tires

Picking up the ST today with a full set of new Vredestein tires. Assuming the sidewalls on the rear are fairly stiff, I thought I would put that at 20 PSI for mostly 2 up riding. As I have only had stock "stuff" on the front in the past, on which I ran 18 PSI with great wear and success...

    Bajaron on vacation?

Does anyone know if Bajaron is on vacation or out of town? I sent him an email on the 4th re; some wires and hoses for my '13 ST and haven't heard back. He is usually right on things like that. I have a little intermittent miss I'm truing to track down.

    New Tires

Yeah, sorry for that one. I just didn't look before I stuck my foot in my mouth.

Where have you found the Altimax, I don't see that brand listed at either Tire Rack or Discount Tire?

    New Tires

I think I will be replacing front and rear this winter on my '13 ST. Looking at the Quatrac 5 from tire rack but don't see a 205-60R15. They do show a 205-50. I think that might throw off the suspension and speedometer. What about running that 205-65, might that crowd the fender a bit? I am...

Spyder RT 2013 Owners - did the Recalls fix the issues?

OK, me too. We have a 13 ST SE5 bought brand new. Currently have 46k miles on it. Like others, once the heat issue and the brake switch was fixed, all was well. Well almost. The '13s had a terrible suspension. I replaced with Elka stage 2 and have never looked back. No intentions of...

Luggage Frame Bolt Pops Loose - 15 ST Limited

I have a '13 ST and have had the same problem. 1 Make sure you are using the 3 sided wrench wrench that came with it. 2 Follow the above instructions from others to seat the screws (bollts). 3 You have NOT lost a nut for the other end of the screw.

    Thinking of making a trade

Wyllec Not even an option. I can't hardly get out the door with the key in my hand without my B.H. She thinks that I can just figure out how to put arm rests on the ST (like we had on the Goldwing) and with a Ultimate seat, all will be well. NOT SO MUCH. Wahrsuul That is why I...

    Thinking of making a trade

Yeah, I am leaning toward the RT if it loads OK and if I can tie it down in the bed of the pickup properly (sounds crazy huh). I think I will be able to find a riding partner who is willing to let me try to load their bike and if all goes well, a RT may be in our future.

    Thinking of making a trade

Sorry I've been away so long. We've been on the road and busy for the last couple weeks. I'm not sure I could make the F3 comfortable for me. I have never liked the cruiser position. But can anyone here ferret out the dry weight of the F3 limited? I have not had any luck finding that. As...

    Smoother Performance Adjustments or Upgrades

OK, my personal experience. I have a '13 ST-L. When new, wallowed around like a '68 Chrysler. First I put BajaRon sway bar and links. Amazing difference. No more wallow. I have to say here that my alignment has always been good. I got 28K miles on my front Kendas and expect to do as well...

    Belt tension

    Will that hurt the accuracy?

    Thinking of making a trade

Ahhh, we're not done yet. I had my ST-L on the scales yesterday with a full tank of gas and it scaled 950, +- 10 lbs. Truck scales are only so accurate. So, bushrat, if your number is correct, the F3 might be the way to go for me. I admit not wanting much more weight than I have now. I...

    Thinking of making a trade

Thanks for the heads up on the F3. I will be weighing my ST in the next couple days and see where I can go from here. Are the F3s generally heavier or lighter than the RTs when comparably dressed?

    Thinking of making a trade

OK, I've got to do some thinking. I also need to get ours weighed. Real weight not what specs say. Our lift is near its max weight and so I have to keep that in mind also. All these details. And Just as I expected, our local dealer is NOT interested in my ST as a trade. Guess I can't...
