• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RT Vent Kit Installation Help

Done!! I did a hybrid sort of install. I removed my existing grills but made no cuts. Shout out to the instructions sent, I forget by whom. The dental pick to mark the one angle screw hole was huge. My steps in summary: 1. Used goo-gone to get the sticky off the new shiny front trim...

Anybody purchased Slingmods 5-piece RT Touring Bag bundle?

I have the cheaper 5-piece set from SlingMods for my 2019, and I have only used the saddle bags. They are best for clothes etc. I would not call them “tough”, but I expect them to last quite a while when we use them as our road trip suitcases.

Trying to decide if I want to start doing my own oil changes - what should I budget?

How many changes do they last? I also like the a/c filter idea but want someone else to TOFTT please, lol.

Trying to decide if I want to start doing my own oil changes - what should I budget?

Done! I’d say they had just a bit of oil in them lol. This is after a quick wipe. I’ll wash them and put them in my growing box of OEM parts.

Trying to decide if I want to start doing my own oil changes - what should I budget?

That was funny! Sold me on a splash pad. They are as much as my pan was though. I’m also going to remove both of the splash guards on each side. That’s going to suck due they are on the same bolt as my highway pegs and I remember that being quite difficult.

Trying to decide if I want to start doing my own oil changes - what should I budget?

Any tips to minimize the splash? My cars never did this!

Trying to decide if I want to start doing my own oil changes - what should I budget?

I’m on my phone so forgive any mistakes please. Everything arrived this week, so I got the fronts on ramps and the rear on a stand to what looked pretty level. I cracked the seal on the filter cover (was cranked down pretty hard). And pulled the dipstick up a bit. Then put what I thought...

Who would have thought that Grip Puppies could make such a difference!

It appears that the Grip Buddies are wrap-around rather than slip on like the Grip Puppies.

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

Now y'all have me wondering if I could switch down from 93 in my Lexus RX-450hl. Fill ups in that thing can get quite expensive, and gets about the same mpg as my Spyder, lol.

What's going on with this Super-hot exhaust???

This also sounds like the overheating issue for that year, that caused the invention of the add-on intake vents as a recall modification.

Guided rides, what would you pay?

I would like this, and easily pay that, especially if you learned some "tour guide knowledge" about the sites. Mt. Rushmore is one of the few bucket list items I have not checked off yet.

Who would have thought that Grip Puppies could make such a difference!

Regarding installing any of these, SpyderPops taught me a neat trick... Coat your current grips with hand sanitizer before sliding these on.... it acts as lube, and then evaporates and makes the job much easier.

    RT Vent Kit Installation Help

Ok, it was only 89 today so I took the bike out at about 5:00 with the sun still beating down and came back at twilight and and have proven to myself two things: The direct sunlight makes a huge difference and is responsible for most of the “too hot” experiences in the dash and glovebox area...

    RT Vent Kit Installation Help

Post 34 doesn't have the mythical template that everyone is after, but does show how to mark your own cut lines. I'm hoping my kit comes with one, or might just put it on over the existing vent to see if that provides enough fresh air.

    RT Vent Kit Installation Help

I found a dealer that supposedly still has a few of these for $84 + tax + $5 shipping sitting on their shelves. There was some confusion, as his system showed part 219800388 as "RT Vent Kit", but then loaded it up as "fender flares" when he tried to order it from his warehouse. I've got one on...

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

Remember those little tornado spinner gadgets for carburetors that guaranteed you an increase in MPG?

Who would have thought that Grip Puppies could make such a difference!

You have my interest, but did you actually find them for $20 somewhere, as they show to be $30 ($29) on the site. I think I'll go with the lites myself because I think the foam aftermarkets I have now are too thick for my taste, and I do plan on riding throughout the winter, and want some heat...
