• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Charges for U Fit changes

I did not realize the change also included new handle bars. That would definitely make the parts and labor realistic.

    Charges for U Fit changes

Seems kind of high to me. The parts that have to change to move the U-FIT system to a new position is the brake link rod (at ~ 30 bucks from Can Am). The rest of the charge would be just labor. Sounds like they charged you for ~ 2 hours of labor.:hun: I would guess it would have taken only about...

HowTo: BRP Connect Configuration for Android Phones

I wanted to share my knowledge with other New Spyder owners on how to setup your Android Phone to work with BRP Connect. Note: This information is for the larger Panoramic 7.8" display on the 2019 F3 T and F3 Limited (I believe they are applicable to the Spyder RT-S as well). These notes...

Metal Clunk sound when hitting a hole with rear wheel

I would recommend you check the air pressure in the rear shock. If it is less than 40 PSI or close to zero you likely have an air leak. This would then allow the rear shock to bottom out. If it is really low I would then recommend you a get copy of the F3/F3T/F3 Unlimited Service manual. They...

    New Colorado Ryders

Hi Holinka182! We live here in Colorado Springs (near Palmer Park and Powers). We are temporarily bikeless. We used to have a 2013 Spyder RT-S, but traded it in with the wife's older Nissan Pathfinder, to get her a newer car. There was some things I did not like with my 2013 RT-S so it was not...

Significant progress on talking to CAN Bus on Spyder

Best location for tapping into the CAN bus? The best location is to use the existing diagnostic port. This port is located under a plastic access panel on the right side of the bike. It is visible when you open the front trunk lid. - Mike

    Battery dead

Check the ground system One of the overlooked places for corrosion is the chassis ground. :doorag: So...after you checked, cleaned and tightened your battery connections, follow the ground cable to the chassis common ground point. If you see any corrosion, I would recommend you take all the...

Another 2013 Spyder RT-S Heat Mitigation Report

Well July 17th I dropped my Spyder off for the Can-AM heat recall work. If anyone is interested, the Can AM part number that was applied was: 219800371 according to the invoice I received when I picked up my Spyder. Everything went well. I noted two new air scoops on the front of the bike as...

Bringing my baby to the shop

Check the two small vacum lines connected to the throttle bodies Check your Spyder's throttle body vacuum lines. The two small vacum lines connected to the throttle bodies are notorious for getting brittle and cracking due to the temps under the plastic. They can create many lean conditions...
