• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Touring with the Virus

Please stay home and daily rides only. We're all affected by this and we must accept that our lives will change for a short while. Greater good.

WELL, if this is what retirement is like......

Are saying you are 83 and still riding a Spyder. If so, you are my hero!

    Using ramps for oil changes

I use DIY wooden ramps. Four pieces of 6 X 1 (yes 1 not 2), staggered to obtain the ramp up effect, for a total of three inches high. I used leftover cedar planks. I use three such ramps, one for each wheel. Works for me.

Review: 2020 RTL – a most impressive ryde

Great write-up BR. Thank you. I like many of the new features. I am hoping BRP will improve the F3L in a similar way soon. Cheers, J

    2020 Spyder Orders

I would say buy the latest if you can afford it. When I bought my F3L in 2018 I could have saved a few G's with a 2017 but I loved the new display so I paid more for a 2018. I don't regret it one bit. I'm now waiting for a new F3L with electric windshield and Apple Carplay and the little...

    Charges for U Fit changes

As per another comment, make sure you get the parts taken off back. They are yours. You may need them if you sell the bike. Otherwise, don't worry about the cost but next time you buy a OEM BRP part, check the install instructions to determine whether you can do it yourself. I changed the...

    I wish I was riding...

Here in Southeastern Ontario, usually by XMAS we should have a least a bit of snow. The snow is a reminder of why I am not riding my Spyder. But this year, we have absolutely nothing. The roads are clear and yesterday we had 45F or 8 C. I could have been riding. But my Spyder is stored for...

    Downshifting Issues

I had a similar issue and my module was replaced. However, when I first spoke about this issue when my dealer he didn't know about it. I suggest you have it changed under warranty while you can. Good luck J

    Can Am Stinger trailer

I bought one of these and love it. https://apogeetrailers.com/ I consider the stinger but didn't go for it for a number of reasons: - It has a dedicated function. AS such it has little resale value / opportunity - It's steel as opposed to alu - It's cheaper but not cheap The Apogee is...

    I know its me but......

I have 6000 miles on mine and I am still not totally comfortable in curves, or should I say, I think taking curves on a two-wheel is easier and more fun than on a Spyder. I just take it for what it is. It doesn't bother me per se. I just take it easier. But I kind of miss taking curves on a...

    Golf clubs?

You could use plastic sleeves inside your bag to protect each shaft individually and covers for the blades.

This is a crazy question, fishing for opinions

My F3L replaced my BWM motorcycle. So I ride it. J

    Brand new product release

F4 Custom has a windshield to which you can attach a similar product. That is what I did with my F3L and I'm very happy with the result. GL J

    Golf clubs?

I am in the same situation. I like to play golf and ride my F3L. Aside from maybe the driver, all clubs and bag are narrower than the front wheels. Hence, there's no risk of being too wide in the back if you secure the bag across the passenger seat grab rails. In fact, the driver may work as...

    BRP going electric?

I would be happy with just the shaft drive. As a F3 rider, I would also take an electric windscreen, hand guards and Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

    BRP going electric?

Dunno if this has been posted somewhere else but the following may be interesting for green inclined riders: https://www.rideapart.com/articles/370078/brp-electric-two-three-wheeler-concepts/ Cheers,

    Free dealer oil changes?

Me neither but I would be cautious with the offer. Spyder dealers are obviously BRP products dealer. You may encounter a traffic jam with service and not be able to get it done for several weeks and you end up doing it yourself. You should negotiate free kits as well in case their schedule...

    Helmet question: Shoei RF-1200

+ 1 on the head shape. I've had one SHOEI but several ARAI and find the ARAI's fit me significantly better. I think it has to do with round versus oval shape. Not sure which one. Be cautious. It may not be such a good deal if you are not happy with the fit.
