• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SpyderFest NZ a couple of pics

We had SpyderFest NZ here over the past weekend. We had 49 Spyders and 75 people attend. The weather for the ride on Saturday wasn't great, but we all had a great time. I will try to add some more pics later, but here is a couple from the Lake at Mangakino

People wanting to borrow the Spyder. What do you say

Yes To a select few. We had friends come to New Zealand from Australia to go to our First NZ SpyderFest. They both ride a Spyder in Aust. I had just bought my partner her 2011RSS. It was only 3 days old when our friends came riding with us, we did 1500kms in 5 days, I also made sure they were...

    F3-S Steel Black Metallic

Yes it is, and that's why I like it, prefer the smooth finished lines of the fender, not meaning to be rude about the other ones, but just aren't my thing, with the capping on them, it looks like an after thought

    F3-S Steel Black Metallic

Thanks for the picture, this is what I have ordered, along with the Blueridge Screen and passenger backrest, mine is not due until late April, but this is the first close up pic I have seen, gives me something to work on for personalising it. So far I think all the shiny bits on it will end up...

Spyders riding in groups with motorcycles?

I think the bike following 2 seconds behind and offset from the Spyder up front will be fine. Our group rides with motorcycles on Charity Rides all the time, we try to spread ourselves throughout the group rather than ride all together in a staggered formation, as this can be almost like a...

    F3 aftermarket

It looks very similar to an ST Screen, could it be the same?

    Pure Speculation

To make the 1330 Triple fit and call it an ST, you need an RT front half and an RS back half, Not sure if the look would be great to be honest. And really wouldn't look too much like a Sport Tourer Or imagine an RT without all of the wrap around storage etc... My opinion is, you probably wont...

My apologies, I found it on you tube, so thought I would share it.

    Gas leak?

Take it to your dealer ASAP, and get a proper diagnosis, as we all know what the result of "assumptions" can be. Hopefully it is an easy fix for you.

08 roadster can am Hindle exhaust, will it fit on a 2013 ST??

Im sure you could find someone to do it, HMF fits RS and ST, might be worth selling your Hindle and replacing it? Or you could just get a Cat Delete and keep your Stock Exhaust?

08 roadster can am Hindle exhaust, will it fit on a 2013 ST??

I would think it would be a bit of work to get your Hindle to fit your 2013, not saying it can't be done, but if you work out the cost to do it, you may be better off getting an HMF, they make one to fit the 2013 RS and is $310.00 https://hmfracing.com/manufacturers/can-am/spyder-rs/customize

Not sure if this has been put up anywhere, but I found it to be very interesting and informative.

    Is Remapping Required ?

Letting your Spyder "idle only" once you have made the changes seems to help, supposedly it gives the computer time to recognise the changes and adjust to suit, I have done this with all of my exhaust changes on all 4 Spyders I have owned and only have decel popping when you only half throttle...

    MPG

MPG has and probably never will be a factor when riding/purchasing a toy for me. And only the USA/Canadian F3 will be getting the bigger rear sprocket, Europe and Australasia will have the same rear sprocket as the RT, and from what I remember it gives the F3 the potential to get to well over...

    Starting Issues

I had a similar problem to yours in regards to starting/nonstarting and idling badly. It turned out to be a faulty butterfly in the throttle body, and they replaced the Purge Valve as well, no more issues. I haven't had problems with the Screen as you have, so possibly 2 separate issues.

dropped off my F3 goodies at the dealership yesterday

I was under the impression the F3 already had 3 power outlets on them, one up front, one under riders seat and one under passengers seat. But stand to be corrected :)

    Check DPS?

There is a pretty good chance you could get this done as goodwill and no charge. As it is a well documented problem, and should have had the upgrade anyway. The fact it has only 3000miles in 4 years, probably means the Spyder hasn't been to a workshop for anyone to actually do the upgrade.

    Problems with tight corners

Hard to explain this, but you need some power to get around the corners, not flat out fistful of power, but if you ease off/brake before the corner and use the throttle to "drive" you around the corner, rather than easing/coasting around, and as someone else said, look through the corner not at...

Go for it My Partner and I have one each, and ride every chance we get.

Givi Top Case vs CanAm Top Case

The mounting point may be the point of difference, as I believe the BRP box is compatible with the new style backrest, not the older 2 piece sport rack/backrest combo. Both backrests fit RS and ST
