• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What’s your average MPG using what Octane Fuel?

Just got back from a jaunt to Durango over Wolf Creek pass and back - wife on her 16 F3T and my 15 RT both with 1330 SE6. Logged 980 mile (480 mi X 2) and fueled up three times for a total of 22.5 gals of 87 octane... cost 115 dollars. Average was a little over 43 MPG on the open...

Outside Air Temperature Sensor reads high - Why? Any fixes?

While touring we often compare data as a way to stay alert on long trips to family in Kansas or around the mountains in Colorado and New Mexico. Although my wife rolls her eyes at my data compulsion, she will share via our headsets that her 16 F3T temp reading is usually the same or within...

    ECO vs standard gearing

I guess it all comes back to how you like to ride. For those who like to "grip it and rip it" the more direct thottle program response (without ECO) or even as I understand the the pedal commanders that let you "Stand on it" can open the throttle and allow the 1330 to get the RPMs a...

    Spyder Sightings

Saw the most Spyders today between Canon City and Cripple Creek on Hwy 9 since we've been riding other than around events. Saw about six out and about in mid 90 temps.

Do you ever use high RPM's?

Well I have pulled out to the 4 lane and ran the revs up to merge with traffic. Why just today I looked down and was at 6000 RPM at 69 MPH after 15 miles down the "slab" and then remembered that I needed to shift up to 6th..... (palm slap to forehead) :sour:

2014 RTS do I need to remove rear rotor to have tire mounted?

Sounds like you've got the tire change figured out Dave. Like you, I usually take the opportunity to to clean the adjuster blocks in the swingarm, and I use a little red wheel bearing grease on the spacers, and axle after cleaning, and also scrape out any dirt from recesses and clean and...

FOBO App will discontinue Sept 6 - Switch to FOBO Bike 2 App

I just got a notification that the original FOBO App that I have used with our old FOBOs will be discontinued on September 6th. Do I need to release my old FOBOs before loading the new App or will they automatically be recognized by the new FOBO Bike 2 App? I doubt I have any of the original...

What RPM range do you stay in (mostly) 1330 engine?

On our open road cruises to western KS and the plains my 15 RT spends most of the time singing along at 3300 RPM which is 66 MPH on open roads with the General Altimax 215/60 mounted in back. Wifes 16 F3T with larger rear sprocket is cruising at 3700 RPM.. we both get 40 MPG unless pushing a...

Gasoline access from northern Indiana to Yellowstone Natl Park?

" We always start looking for gas when the tank is about half full" Don't wait to fuel --- If you see a gas station sign and you're at 100 miles or 1/2 tank-- stop and filler up!

Gasoline access from northern Indiana to Yellowstone Natl Park?

Assuming you are riding the 2020 RT in the your profile Plan your route and plan on stopping for fuel before you hit 150 miles. If you ride faster than 65 mph or on the interstate or with a headwind that will be your max range. If tooling along through the parks you can get 200 miles plus...

Torque settings for the rear rotor, caliper, and axle nut on 2013?

If you have the ST with the 998 engine I would go with the 96 lb ft torque - \\ The 1330 engine models and higher drive line torque load should probably go with the 166 lb ft (modified to slightly less if you clean and lightly lube the threads and washer).

    Tire Longevity- Brand/ Mileage

My local dealer has the Kanines in stock and his price is reasonable if I get to where I cant get down and change the tires myself. On our RTs and the F3T we have been running Kumhos Ecsta AST in the original 225/50R15 sze and getting about 23,000 miles and lately the General Altimax RT43...

    What model do you recommend

I havnt been a passenger on the 2021 RTLs but, The demo ride on the 2020-21 was pretty plush and I really like the new longer floorboard and slightly cushier drivers seat. My current ride is a 15 base RT which I have added aftermarket boards and NBV highway pegs so its good for me. If...

    Parking Brake will not Disengage

Like Honsfun, I also had the parking brake not release on my 15 RT a couple of years ago in the Walmart parking lot. I loosened the cable adjusting nuts and unhooked the cable to release the brake and get home to the garage. While the motor is encased in a plastic housing and not easily...

    Air Bag inflation over winter?

I usually up the tire pressures to about 30 psi for winter storage; but an easier fix for them and the air bag is just raise the Spydee up on a 7" tall wooden block to take the weight off tires and airbag. The block centerpoint should be about 7" from the rear pt of the box frame. Check...
