• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What's causing this Wobble while braking?

My understanding (somebody correct me if I'm wrong): When weight shifts forward while braking the front end dives (because of shocks/springs being too soft?). This can cause toe to change. If this happens asymmetrically (off camber, or if misaligned?) it could result in "bump steer" causing...

What's causing this Wobble while braking?

Our 2023 RTL only has a few hundred miles on it and I'm still getting used to the whole 3-wheel thing. But while braking quick from say 30 mph or so there is a mild but noticeable wobble/shimmy while coming to a stop (straight line braking). Is this the Spyder equivalent of bump steer while...

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

I wanted to name ours Nicky... as in "Nicky full throttle" from the lyrics in the song Bang Bang. But my wife is having none of that, so no name yet. I named my Jeep Sue, from Johnny Cash's "A Boy Named Sue". Made sense, since I figured it would get made fun of because I only put a 1.5" lift...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed a Baja Ron ultra sway bar after work - could tell there is a nice improvement just from a short test ride just now. Can't wait to get some M2 shocks on here...just waiting on them to be built. I also have 3 new tires waiting to be put on but not sure if I want to use up some of this...

What is the best way of wearing glasses with a modular full face helmet?

Some helmets work better with glasses than others...so try a few if shopping for a new one. I use a Neotec and its pretty comfortable with glasses. Helmet on but open, put on glasses, close helmet. The Neotec built in sun shade doesn't interfere with my glasses either. For longer rides I...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Made some jack ramps so I can put on a new sway bar this week. It'll go up about 3 more inches to the next hole...about 21" total without shimming it higher.

2020+ RT Passenger Arm Rests finally available! New Part No

Well, I visually compared the old and new at the dealer - they looked the same to me. The length side by side certainly wasn't any different and wouldn't cover the gap. Didn't notice anything really different other than the newer one the metal parts looked a little darker. Maybe a batch...

2020+ RT Passenger Arm Rests finally available! New Part No

Supposedly my dealer has the newer part number in stock so I'm going to go drop by in a bit and do a comparison with the old part I got in today....so standby for hopefully an answer.

21 RT Passenger armrests - have they fixed the gap problem?

See this other thread: https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?153348-2020-RT-Passenger-Arm-Rests-finally-available!-New-Part-No Apparently there is a new part number but no idea yet if it has fixed the problem. I just tried installing one (old part number) that arrived today and it...

2020+ RT Passenger Arm Rests finally available! New Part No

Did you get the newer part #219401181 or the older one? I just tried installing the ones I ordered last week (p/n 219400958) and they have that horrible gap between the armrest support and the back side of the trim. Totally unacceptable for a $500 part. I'd like to know if the newer version...

    Time for new rear tire

That's good to hear. Always great to have real anecdotal comparisons!

    Time for new rear tire

OK so I totally botched up what I was trying to say...my apologies. The sidewall of the 205/65 is taller than the sidewall of the 205/60, resulting in approximately .8" more total height on the 65. This makes the 205/65 taller than the stock Kenda while the 205/60 is approximately the same...

    Time for new rear tire

Is the 205/65R15 Quatrac a better fit on the rear than the 205/60R15? I had just ordered a 205/60R15 and now I'm second guessing myself. Being a narrower tire than the Kenda will the 60 be too small (circumference/height) when stretched onto the wheel?

Check out the New Garmin Zumo XT2

Hmmm...I literally JUST opened up a new XT this afternoon - its literally still downloading updates. Now I need to contemplate returning it and getting the newer one. I think I'll wait until tomorrow and make sure the larger one will fit inside a set of Helibars that arrive tomorrow.
