• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What's the best belt tensioner? What are you using?

I run Lamonster's because it is well-engineered and well-built. It's a shame that such a good-looking piece of equipment is hidden from view. I lowered my belt tension as well. It is MY opinion that the vibration experienced during high speeds accelerate the failure of the front sprocket; I...

I also belong to www.hdforums.com, and they would beg to differ, LOL.

Fuel Door- I've Joined the Club

I've actually thought of doing this, but I'm afraid the filling nozzle would be somehow affected by it not filling the fuel tank correctly, or the leather of the seat would get worn out from the filler handle. Any issues with that ????

Anyone else a loner and not a group rider?

I'm both, depending on my mood. Sometimes, when I'm on a group ride, I like taking "sweep" or "tail gunner" (the last rider). It makes me feel I'm a "lone rider" when I feel like spending time riding with the Battle Born Spyders (a local Spyder group based in Reno, NV). But mostly, I do tend...

Do you think that the tech did the damage to this sprocket?

My bet is it's from a puller the tech used to remove the stubborn sprocket. I see some evidence of some type of Liquid Wrench all over the middle of the sprocket. Those sprockets are pretty robust, and I don't think a rock can do such damage .... .... unless you like jumping your Spyder on a...

What the heck is this thing? 2017 RT

I'm thinking it's the cover of the flux capacitor, and its job is to make sure that it's, um, "fluxing" ....

Has anyone installed modulator head lights?

Not exactly sure, nor do I have any evidence, but that flashing feature can't be good for the headlights. I suspect that it shortens the life of the bulbs, but WTH do I know ....

What The Heck Is Going On With My Belt???

Are the gouges on the inside or outside of the belt ?? If it is on the inside, maybe the belt is partially riding on the flange. Can you take a pic of the sprocket too ??

Dealer says Demo Rides are not possible - any suggestions?

Also, if a dealership allows test rides, make sure you are allowed to ride out of their parking lot. The dealership here in Reno only allows test rides on their own parking lot. I suppose that's ok, if you're wondering what model fits you best. But as far as exploring the machines...

What's the Best Sounding Exhaust for my RTL?

I run a Two Brothers Racing exhaust connected to the RLS Polished Cat Delete pipe. LOVE the sound !! The combination provides a nice sound and is not obnoxiously loud .... .... probably because I don't hear low frequencies very well, LOL.

    Peacekeeper6 Mod Thread

Finally got a chance to test out the Turn Signal Button/Shifter Pad by TCBoone and FrogmanDave during a ride last Saturday. Turn Signal Button - works great. No more erroneous cancellation of the turn signals and looking like an idiot to other motorists. The safety factor is vastly improved...

A small Safety Mod to our 2022 RTL with a big improvement!

Just installed these on my bike. Haven't had the chance to try them out yet (too windy and cold), but from what everyone has said, it's mod that is elegantly simple and makes a huge difference. Thanks to TCBoone and frogmandave on the invention of these ingenious devices.
