• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How do Oregon riders handle this?

My first street bike too, 1973 CB750K3 in metallic brown with black and gold striping. Tried to make it work for long distance, but more than an hour on that seat was like sitting on the thin edge of a 2x4. Quick, well-finished and trouble-free but after a couple of years I sold it and bought a...

Found a good cleaning product to take when travelling

Yes I figure that's how the spots got on there originally. Central Valley California water is sometimes called "liquid rock" because it's so hard. ;)

    Rotate front tires?

Although to be fair, it isn't just BRP that wants you to take EVERYTHING to the dealer. It's pretty common advice across all the vehicle manuals I've ever owned. I read them but take much of what they say with a grain of salt, particularly the self-promotion stuff.

Found a good cleaning product to take when travelling

When I bought my current Spyder (used) it had a lot of hard water spots on it. I tried Meguiar's Clay Bar Kit - gray clay plus detailer spray and a microfiber cloth - and it helped smooth the surface but did not remove the calcium. I agree it doesn't seem abrasive providing the clay doesn't get...

    It has teeth!

That's a great adaptation of the P-40 paint job, although I don't think I'm a customer for it. Thanks for the pic!

    It has teeth!

I agree... my 2014 ST definitely has a "Transformers" look to the headlight area from the front view. I've never had it actually change into anything other than a Spyder ST though... although that's a good thing, a Transformer would be cool too. :spyder2:

    Heated seat

Yes, I think the 2019 RTL has heated seats, the 2020 RTL does. Both have heated driver handgrips and passenger handrails. And part of that underseat wiring is the sensor for the passenger position.

New 2019 RT Limited on the way

Hi Kent, I won't pretend it was a long drawn-out process. I'm within a few years of retiring, so the cost factor is what won out. I'm trying to eliminate debts by the time I give up working. I expect this will very likely be the last motorcycle I buy. So in that sense, even though I'm a...

New 2019 RT Limited on the way

I was given a delivery date today, but I had to bypass my salesman to get it. The Spyder left the dealership on a truck last Friday, and might be delivered this weekend, or by next Tuesday at the latest. As a former long-haul trucker, I definitely understand that some flexibility is inherent...

battery needed - what's the best replacement

I've had good luck with Yuasa in both Spyder and Harleys. I'm pretty sure the OEM is a Yuasa with Can-Am branding. The correct battery for most Spyders is the YTX24HL. Avoid any that have a -BS suffix, as that means you have to add the acid and charge. Otherwise, it is fully filled and charged...

New 2019 RT Limited on the way

Got an email today that my new RTL should be at set-up but nobody wrote back to confirm whether it is or is not. Now the long holiday weekend is here so guess I'll have to be patient, again. :gaah:

Anyone have Rivco Floorboards fitting experience? Brake pedal extenders?

Kind of humorous that the pan and rubber insert are almost a dead ringer for OEM Harley touring floorboards. Definitely would improve on pegs though...

New 2019 RT Limited on the way

Difficult news regarding delivery delays I have not heard anything further on my purchase, on which I paid the full balance due last week. I anticipated a reasonable delay, but I don't think 3 to 4 weeks is legitimately reasonable, especially when the customer has already been patient awhile...

    Bag to fit in frunk

Check out the Hopnel bags for the frunk. They are nicely made, cut to fit, and mine (for the ST) is reasonably sturdy as luggage. LaMonster sells them, as do some other sponsors here, although I did not see one specific to the Ryker.

New 2019 RT Limited on the way

I guess I was trying to say that the nice way when I said I had to be persistent. When I looked at the email thread, it was 17 days from initial contact via trade-in request until I got the trade-in value and quote for the new RT. A couple days of that delay was on me to take and submit pics of...
