• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New 2019 RT Limited on the way

I haven't been given a date yet. So, yes, "the waiting is the hardest part" as Tom Petty sang. We shall see what happens, but I'm hoping for the best. I was told two to three weeks.

New 2019 RT Limited on the way

That notice says it applies to new Polaris Slingshots and Indians, but doesn't mention Can-Am. My deal has no shipping charges added, and I'm a long way from Chicago!

New 2019 RT Limited on the way

Blue was my first choice but they didn't have one with the Chrome package. I did get an Asphalt Gray, a color I think contrasts nicely with the shiny bits. Good luck, I've had to be persistent but so far that's paid off. Will add to the thread as things happen.

New 2019 RT Limited on the way

After almost two years with my 2014 ST, my first Spyder, I decided that I wanted something more suitable for long rides. Can-Am sent me an email about their rebates on 2019 models, with the highest amount on the RT Limited. BUT... there were none of those available locally so I did some...

    Which one is the best???

The Catalysator adds a whine I don't care for. I like the sound of the Akrapovic with either of the other pipes; mostly a draw, although I suspect the noise would get tiresome. I agree with woods above; for me the RLS and stock can is something I could live with for the long run. Maybe I'm just...

Do you still have a regular motorcycle along with your Spyder ??

I mostly ride the Spyder ST but I have a 1991 Harley Sturgis that I ride occasionally to keep it going. The Sturgis is my keeper, as it's also a collectible limited edition. There are pictures of both in my Garage posting. But the ST will be going on a ride without me soon when my new 19...

    Insert a picture

Link to pictures versus upload Deanna, I’m not entirely sure I understand your question, but there is an important difference between uploading a picture file and uploading a link to an online picture. If it is a link to a picture on an online service, for example Photobucket, and the file in...

2019 F3 Limited Auxiliary Music Source

Connecting via the 3.5mm jack is strictly analog, not digital, so no display of content or playback state is possible. The Spyder audio system via analog is no different from using wired headphones or earbuds out of the iPod, phone or other portable player.

    Helmet ?

Well, it says Harley on it but it's made by HJC. Left over from when I owned an HD. I really like it quite a lot.

What Tire gauge are you all using?

My favorite gauges I have a couple of pressure gauges, and a tire filler with a gauge, from this seller, and I am very happy with the whole lot. I recommend this specific one for Spyders because the flexible hose makes checking the rear easier...

    Frunk and seat, won't open

Well, I rode the ST around for two weeks with the straight pins and never had a problem either way. The frunk stayed shut - air pressure I suppose - and never lifted at all in motion. Since I live in the city, though, I did put the original pins with the cutouts back in so I could lock up and...

    Frunk and seat, won't open

For what it is worth, I bought a '14 ST used and the previous owner had replaced the pins for both the seat and trunk with solid stainless pins of the same length, thread and diameter as the latch pins. I don't know where he got them, or if he made them. You can't lock anything up with them in...

    998cc bent frame

I don't know about BRP, but I did end up with frame damage on a Harley RoadKing a couple of years ago. Harley will not repair a bent frame, but they do offer to make a new one for you. The cost is quite high, so the insurance company totaled the bike rather than fix it. In my case I was glad...

    possible purchase

Recent 2014 ST purchase I bought a 2014 ST SE5 (base) as my first Spyder about two months ago. It had 2k miles and I got it for less than $9K so I figure there was no need to worry about trade-in value. It's my intent to keep it for a long while in any case. I've had a blast with it on day...

Will shaft drive be coming to the 1330?

For what it's worth, the first BMW motorcycle, designed in 1923, had shaft drive. So it's been around a lot longer than you might think. Both shaft and belt have pluses and minuses.
