• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another Mileage Thread -- And a New Milestone for Me

I can understand... ..the feeling -- mental gymnastics of attempting to figure out on the fly how much further to go prior to running out of fuel. I did that on my prior Spyders, but not much now on the 2014 --- 40+ MPG is a huge difference. Just wait until you get one of the later model...

    Latest news on flooded Spyder

Dash I don't really want to upset him (or you) about the apparent 'lucky escape' his Spyder has had, but did the water get above the dash/instrument level on the Spyder?? Cos if it did, & the instruments haven't been removed, disassembled, & cleaned/repaired properly, surely he'll have issues...

Some may remember my brothers house being flooded - 4.5' of water. He should be back in his house in about 3 weeks after a complete "overhaul". Now to his Spyder as it was flooded as well. Here is his report today: Went up the Spyder shop today and the news was all good. Seems the mechanic...

    Tips for buying

Opinions General thought among the membership is the 2012 model year was the 'better and preferred' year for the twin engine RT, You can search the Forum about heat issues, Throttle Body issues, etc. (model years 2010 - 2013). DYI - depends entirely on the person. Myself, I don't do very...

    Brothers Flooded RT-L Update

All good news. Bike is at the dealers - engine/transmission is working just fine. Lights, etc. all work. What is needed: Starter solenoid, maybe seat (Bob did not say, but my guess is new one needed) instrument cluster. By using the computer, the maintenance department could see what needed...

    D.E.S.S. experiment

Errors on my bike. My key lives in the ignition - failure occurred under those conditions. Once did try other key; no luck. Other times bike started some hours/day later w/o removing key. Other time needed to be picked up on trailer. Right now it is working fine (if I remember to not have...

    Flooded RT-L - update

Follow up Just to clarify - bike is not mine -- it is my brother's bike. I'm high and dry here in E Texas. Rain yesterday and again in the forecast for today. Roads have been dry at my brothers house, but hope that the local creek stays in its banks. No insurance on the Spyder except...

    Flooded RT-L - update

Water was about 4 foot deep in my brothers garage. Poor Spyder. He had someone come to pick it up and take it to his dealer (Conroe, TX). But remember that the parking brake is on!! Bob turned the key on - lights came on - instrument panel did its normal 'stuff' and came to a halt for a...

    1994 all over again

Latest from Bob.. He can get to his house now. Water level rose about 3.5 feet in the house; a little bit more in the garage. Spyder was fully covered in water - and Bob's dealer wants to see it Tuesday. Flood insurance should be something else again -- hope the Red Tape is not too much for...
