• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Belt tensioner placement

Hey, I have a question regarding where the idler wheel is most effective and why. SmoothSpyder's idler wheel runs on the slack side of the belt. The BRP idler runs on the tension side of the belt. From a design standpoint, which placement (not product) is more better, and why? Just a ponder.

    Jay Leno surprises a veteran

No allergies here. My monitor throws dust in my eyes. I gotta stop watching these things. There's dust everywhere.

    Formoto Oil Drain Valves?

I've been using them for years on my cars and trucks. They are convenient, but the oil drains slow through them, and if one gets knocked off it would be disastrous. My cages don't have the low, low clearance of the Spyder, and I have never had a problem with them, but I'm not installing them on...

    It might be the rats!

Well, not quite. I'm selling it. The trade-in value was not so great, and the dealership suggested I list it. If it doesn't sell in a month or so, I'll probably consign it.

    Help! Foglight change gone bad!

I got it. That was much more difficult than it needed to be. I fought it for at least an hour before the stars came into alignment and I was able to put it back on. I have scratches and scrapes on my arms and bumps and bruises on my noggin from whacking into stuff. The mirrors are not on...

    Help! Foglight change gone bad!

I cannot get the left foglight cover back on. The airduct is blocking me, even though I have taken it loose. What is the secret?

    A Clean Slate No More...

Starting the Wrap I selected the Barbedwire Lightning wrap in red reflective material from wrapmyspyder.com, and I was finally able to work on it a bit this afternoon. I'm stoked! I added some pics to my album - Myron's 2016 RT Limited

    A Clean Slate No More...

Farkling my new 2016 RT-L I'm going a different route this time on my new 2016 RT-L. The first set of pictures is my 2012 RT-L. I really like TricLED's DuaRT saddle bag rear run/brake/yellow turn signals, for exactly the reasons you mentioned. It will be my next purchase, and perhaps the CD...

    A Clean Slate No More...

My 2016 Spyder RT Limited - Let the farkling begin! I'm shifting this topic to my new 2016 RT Limited. I bought it last week and it's still virgin territory. So, I've been busy online ordering goodies! Doc Humphrie's belt tensioner, and the tensioner too! Lamonster's LED headlights and...

    Caught in the rain!

I agree. I've already picked up a bottle of Rain-X Plastic and treated my helmet. Windshield is next.

    Caught in the rain!

I know for most of you this is old hat, but this was a first for me. The forecast said rain maybe tomorrow so I took my new Spyder to work this morning. I grabbed my Frogg Toggs on the way out the door, as an afterthought. I'm glad I did! Fifteen miles from home the rain started to hit me. I...

The devil made me do it.

Weather and other excuses may not fly, but when Mama cracks the whip on the honey-do list, the Spyder stays home. When Mama's not happy, ain't nobody happy. We've been married for 35 years, and I intend to add many more years to that!

    GPS Choice

I got burned by this. I bought mine used from a dealer who didn't bother to get the login info from the previous owner, and a one-time map upgrade is fifty bucks. I still have old maps!

    It might be the rats!

Foremost Insurance company rave! Last night about midnight I submitted the claim to Foremost Insurance Company. 8:00 AM this morning the adjuster called me, then he called the service department for the estimate, then he approved it and shot me a direct deposit for $919! I have a $500...
