• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I did my Iron Butt years ago, on my 750cc Shadow. 1,026 miles in 23&1/2 hours. My gas tank only held 135 miles of gas. The important thing was being efficient at gas stops. I left at 6am and arrived at 5:30 am. One longer stop for cake.

    I some times ride with a group. Some times alone. I know most of the women I ride with, and we have some rules to protect us all. If I ride with people who ride less often or are concerned about group management rather than safety, I tend to drop out or follow at a distance.

    I prefer to keep my phone on me, to be available for use as a phone. I do compare routes between GPS and phone b4 leaving. One bad experience allowed me to call my son from the ambulance bc my phone was with me, not the pieces of my Spyder.
