• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I hope U can bear to watch this?

Timothy Treadwell was living on borrowed time IMO. Sadly he got his girlfriend killed too. It is always a concern for humans when certain wildlife species loose their fear of humans. On the flip side Timothy lost his fear and respect for the brown bears that he loved. Bears are very...

10th Anniversary of the Spyder June 2,3,4th 2017

If you are wondering if Canada has different shaped plugs/outlets from the U.S. requiring different adapters much like places like NZ and some European countries, the answer is we are the same as the U.S. Gary

    Wheel/Tire Size?

I thought I saw a post by Lamont saying that they were not going to be able to do the 14" wheels because not enough volume to make it a viable project. Might want to check with him directly or do a search of Lamont's more recent posts. Gary

Based on the items you mentioned, I wouldn't give it a second thought. Just make those changes and enjoy. Gary

    Another Helmet Question - D-Rings.....

My current helmet is a Shoei Neotec with D-Ring. Prior to that I had a Nolan with a quick connect and prior to that all D-Ring helmets. Going back to D-Ring felt a little odd at first but in no time it was just easy to do again. Don't even think about it after a short time. Get the helmet you...

Trunk won't close 2016 RT limited

More than likely you missed getting the tab back in the right spot which is located directly above the key hole or directly under the label inside the trunk which says 20 lbs limit. When putting that long piece of panel back on folks sometimes miss getting the tab back into the slot. this will...

    Full face helmet

I also follow the rule of thumb of never follow too close behind a big rig, pass them quickly when passing and generally give them as wide a berth as possible. We have been hit in one of our cars while passing a truck when it blew a tire. Back in the 70's I was following a semi in my car...

    Magic Mirror Mounts

Mine are also on their way from Russ and were shipped April 10th. I guess I'm in the same situation and will just be patient. I agree, it isn't Russ' fault. I do hope that they arrive intact when ever that is. Gary

    Air screen

Yes, I have the ones shown by the OP. They remove just as easily as the KOTT grills sold by Spyderpops. They are attached the same way. I liked the appearance of them better than the KOTT but that was just my personal preference. I have used them long enough and on an extended trip where I...

    typical tire wear

To me it would be helpful to know how much mileage you have on that tire and possibly what the depth of tread is between the wear bar and the outside tread. The wear bars line up with the little triangle on the edge of the tire sidewall. I think it would be safe to assume approximately 6,000...

Going to Canada, Read this first

I said the same thing yesterday and that thread disappeared so I guess I'll just agree with you. Canadians going to the US have been asked if they have ever smoked pot. They were not charged or convicted. They just admitted to using it recreationally. They were turned back. I've been asked if I...

    Canoe from scratch

I agree. Those were the exact thoughts I was having when watching. It is as much an art to learning how to properly sharpen those tools as the building of the canoe itself. As beautiful as it is, it wouldn't be of much use to me for the places we canoe. Gary

    303 Aerospace UV Protector

Yes, I've used it for a number of years. I really like it. You don't need a lot because it spreads very well. I mostly use it on black plastic or vinyl surfaces (not seats) and I also use it on sidewalls of car tires. It is not too shiny on tires like some of the actual sidewall products and you...

Cell phones need to be jammed while vehicles are in gear

You hit the nail right on the head. I think that all levels of government can pass all the laws they want. The mind set of too many people today is 'me me me'. It isn't just young people but in my mind they are probably the worst offenders. It also requires law officers to enforce these laws...

    First Impressions

Love that colour. Nice pic. As far as the twitchiness in handling, I agree that front tire pressure could cause that. What pressure are they at? It can also just be getting used to the different feel of the Spyder compared to 2 wheels. It takes a little getting used to. Many of us over steer the...
