• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New Reverse Shifter mod....

Use one of these. 10mm is the equivalent to .394 inches so if your shaft is 3/8" dia then the 10mm die will work fine. If you don't have a die holder then pliers or pipe wrench will work in a pinch. Also....use oil to lubricate the cutting threads...

    New Reverse Shifter mod....

I made mine a metric thread due to most of the knobs I was finding were threaded in mm.

Anyone here using the Powervision on their Ryker?

Geez, i can't imagine mine getting up and going any faster then it already does. As it is now, I can get wheelspin from a rolling start.

Ryker Touring Storage and Luggage Options

Agreed, but if all they need to do is switch to the 2 up spring then they'll be saving money.

Ryker Touring Storage and Luggage Options

Technically shocks only control the bounce. Springs control the weight. Sure you can go to higher performance shocks and they will control the weight "better" but you should look into the 2-up spring if you're riding...."2-up".

Ryker fuel filling - is it just me, or are they slow??

I stick the nozzle all the way in and do a fast fill until it auto stops from back pressure. After that I pull the nozzle almost out and do a slow fill until it tops off the tank. I did come across a gas station once that didn't allow a slow fill. They got less of my money because I gave up...

Ryker Touring Storage and Luggage Options

If your Ryker is a one up machine then your options are more that if it's a two up machine. For one up then, as others said, get the max mount and go from there. If two up then you'll need to get creative. One person here used some Harley support bars that mount to the side. I made some custom...

Windshield for Ryker - what are you guys running?

All depends on if you mind looking through the windshield or having the top edge below your line of sight. I'm more comfortable having it below my line of sight so i opted for something that deflects the wind up and around me only. It doesn't create a pocket of negative air pressure like larger...

The cost to have a parking brake lock install on my Ryker?

Step drills work better on plastic then standard drill bits in the larger size holes. Standard drill bits, once they break through, will pull themselves through and make a lousy hole.

What Did You Do To Your RYKER Today?

Same as above....knee issues ( three surgeries between the two knees), but also, it was annoying to have to stick the left foot out, find the shifter, and then pull it back. From a mechanical engineers perspective it looks like it was an after thought. Plus, it's easy and fun to just reach...

What Did You Do To Your RYKER Today?

I made my own jockey shifter. Actually made a month ago but I wanted to make sure it worked well before I posted. No issues with it and I love it. Total cost was around $45. The handle and linkage were made from a piece of 3/8 dia steel I got at Home Depot for $6. The Heim joints on the linkage...

That looks like my set. Plus it came in a nice storage case.

The cost to have a parking brake lock install on my Ryker?

I bought my step drill on Amazon. It was cheap enough that I bought a set of 3 sizes for the same price I would have paid at a local hardware store for one size. Sure it's probably a lesser quality but it's being used for plastic.

Panel Popped Loose - how does it go back in?

Someone on here fixed that issue by pulling that cooling hose out and cutting a little off the end of it. Apparently it's enough to pull the hose in and away from touching the panel. I haven't bothered to do it yet because it's really not bothering me too much.

Panel Popped Loose - how does it go back in?

I asked which side you were having issues with because the left side when looking at the ryker (Right side when seated) has a cooling hose close to the panel. Some people have issues with it protruding too far into the panel in question and some don't. My hose does stick out a little too far...
