• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2up rear shock install Questions

Tazzel, My dealer advised that the flat rate book for the rear shock job is something like 3.1 hours which seems pretty ridiculous given what I am hearing. They only charged me for an hour because they are good folks and they also sold me the shock for $180. I know that presenting the other side...

    Try Again

The Daytona has a SACHS† Twin-Tube Shock Absorber / 5.2 in (132 mm) The 2015 F3-S rear shock as listed as a SACHS monoshock 5.2 in (132mm) (The above specs are readily available online from BRP) So, they appear to be possibly different shocks but the Daytona spec doesn't mention anything...

    2017 F3-S Special Edition Daytona 500 Spyder - 600 Mile Review

Spovelko, This is really thrilling to hear about a new model from someone who is racking up some miles on it. Like yourself, I came from a background of high-performance sport bikes. What I found with my 2015 F3-S is that the body lean was too exaggerated for the wonderful power-plant that is...

    2017 F3-S Special Edition Daytona 500 Spyder

Joey, I watched the video that Lamonster had done with a new 2017 Daytona. I don't want to sound like a naysayer or act like a wet blanket but other than the cool colors and the ability to turn off the traction control, I am not sure what you would be gaining with the Daytona over your 2015...

I wonder if he did the wheel alignment and check the belt tension with a Krikit before taking off?

F4 Customs 28" Windshield on My F3-S is the Bomb

Continued with the experimentation of my new F4 windshield for my 2015 F3-S Spyder. It is somewhat amazing to me how very small changes in the angle of the windshield to the relative wind can produce such a significantly different riding experience. Since the F4 windshield for the F3-S and...

Bob, You may make light about this terrible pestilence but here are the cold hard facts as I know them from a Public Service Announcement

    Milage --WOW

Jim, They are using 50 cent words like "sardonic" and "persnickety" which is WAY over my 25 cent intellect:opps: I don't really care what you want to call yourself . I suspect that you are a nice guy! I think I might be leaning toward more sarcasm as I read various posts throughout the...

    Milage --WOW

Hey Jim, This is a bit off topic but everything I learned about psychology comes from Psychology Today:helpsmilie:(Just kidding) In an article from June 26, 2012 titled "Think Sarcasm is Funny? Think Again", Dr. Clifford N. Lazarus opined in the article the following about sarcasm: "If you want...

    F4 Customs Windshield

The top part of your front fairing and plastic body-work is different than my 2015 F3-S which shares the same bodywork as the 2015 F3. The F3 Limited and some other model variants appear to have different hardware/tupperware on the trikes. Sadly, I wish I were incorrect for my F3-S and could...

    F4 Customs Windshield

Wengerda, I suspect you need to be more model specific as that windshield and trike do not look like my F3-S? Supposedly, the F3 and F3-S according to Don cannot have the air vents due to the required curvature of the windshield <sob>.

F4 Customs 28" Windshield on My F3-S is the Bomb

Don had asked what the height above the gas cap of the 28" windshield was with the windshield in the down-slot position and the up-slot position. The answer is approximately 18" and 20" respectively. That is the measurement of a right angle formed by the top of the windshield and the top of my...

    Manual Or Semi-Auto?

Madmartigan, I just had to share with you that I read the saying about the fairness of life in your posts subscript to my wife and she and I got a great chuckle. I know that many of us, including myself, have migrated to trikes for various reasons related to physical health issues and it is...

    Manual Or Semi-Auto?

John, You ain't old. I graduated from HS 4 years earlier in 1967 which makes me 67 years-young. I still prefer manually shifting my trikes but can see the distinct advantages and utility of the semi-auto Spyders. If I spent much time in local traffic which I do not, I would definitely not like...

F4 Customs 28" Windshield on My F3-S is the Bomb

Tom, That is freaky because I saw a Spyder up ahead of me headed out of Cairo and toward 319 last week. I was testing out the ButtBuffer gel pad to see what a difference it made in my ride. It alone was able to extend my ride by a factor of about 3-4x time-wise over the stock seat. PM has been...

F4 Customs 28" Windshield on My F3-S is the Bomb

Tom, Thanks for the affirmation on the DropTail. I will be using it with the removable front wheel chalk for my Harley TriGlide and then remove the front chalk to carry my Spyder. I can see where it would be an ideal unit for moving around a zero turn mower. I tend to ride my TriGlide to...

F4 Customs 28" Windshield on My F3-S is the Bomb

You might want to confirm this with Don but I went down to the garage and was rocking the trike back and forth laterally while just holding the cross-bar and there was no apparent flexure in the frame setup. I can't imagine that a Ram ball and GPS would have any effect on the structure? You will...

F4 Customs 28" Windshield on My F3-S is the Bomb

Thanks for the comments on the sturdiness of the brackets. I think they are quite sturdy and did not wiggle at 83 mph. Unfortunately, the carrier for the delivery of my first DropTail trailer managed at one of its freight terminals to destroy part of the elaborate palletized factory shipping...

F4 Customs 28" Windshield on My F3-S is the Bomb

jcthorne, your earlier comments on another thread about the "erector set" look of the F4 hardware had initially raised a bit of a red flag for me in terms of acquisition until I got it in hand. You are obviously quite experienced with Spyder's since you own and work on them and so I tip-toed...
