• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    windshield

The F4 does not allow you to look over it for the most part. However, there is minimal distortion and so it is no big deal. Buffeting from the the BRP windshield was so bad that no amount of pleasing aesthetic could compensate for the bad design.

    windshield

Tried the BRP Blue Ridge windshield for my F3-S. Possibly the worst windshield I have ever used, EVER! The buffeting was beyond belief and I am 5'7". Went to a 28" F4 clear windshield and possibly one of the best I have owned. The mounting is secure, tools free adjustable and looks consistent...

Finally Fitted my F3-s to enjoy the ride

Mr. Bones, You began riding 4 years before I was born! That is quite an accomplishment to still be riding:clap: Of the three farkles you mentioned, I have found for myself that the foam grips made a HUGE difference in my control of my F3-s Spyder. The smaller diameter and rather hard rubber...

Finally Fitted my F3-s to enjoy the ride

6= BRP Belt Tensioner which eliminates about 90% of the felt vibration emanating from the long drive belt. 7= A Baja Ron Ronbar upgraded anti-sway bar with upgraded heim links that allows the Spyder to take curves with less lean. 9= Baker Air Wings that attach to the mirror stalks which either...

Finally Fitted my F3-s to enjoy the ride

Since getting my F3-s and having ridden it only 1800 miles. I was about to give up and had it up for sale because it was exacerbating a hip/butt problem I have from an old injury. Well, after a TON of experimentation and adding farkle after farkle, I think I have it about as dialed in as I will...

    Trying to install F3 Floorboards

Pete, You need two F3-S's for Oz. My pristine and heavily farkled trike is now up for sale with lots of pictures in the "4 Sale by Owner" forum. Since it is getting so hot in Oz, come to Florida and buy the F3 and enjoy the gentle Fall Florida weather. Bob

    Trying to install F3 Floorboards

Pete, I think I am going to be giving up the ghost as they say. I tried several different add-on bladder type cushions today and what I am finding is that in a very weird way, the angle of the seat area relative to the floorboards, handlebars or footpegs are just too uncomfortable for my left...

    Trying to install F3 Floorboards

The position 1 change was not effective in reducing the pressure on my left glut which is the cause of significant pain sensations. Will be trying position 3 with the floorboards and adding a different kind of seat pad other than the Butt Buffer to see if I can get some relief. Unfortunately, if...

    Trying to install F3 Floorboards

Well, some strange twists and turns in the floorboard saga. As I had previously reported, with the help of several posters, I was able to successfully get the pegs off of the F3-S. I mounted the floorboards with the U-Fit Position 3 and found that when I comfortably placed my feet on the...

    Trying to install F3 Floorboards

Thanks to all for the help! Wow, what a journey it has been to do what was seemingly a simple task of removing some bolts to install some BRP floorboards. I have not yet installed the floorboards as I just completed taking off the old foot pegs. Some things learned along the way. On the second...

    Trying to install F3 Floorboards

Thanks Copperman and Doc. You confirmed what I was thinking was my only way out at this point. I hate taking my machinery to techs who don't know how to use a torque wrench. When I hear a tech say that they can "feel" a certain torque value, I run the other way. Well, I have been charging up my...

    Trying to install F3 Floorboards

Man, I hate that I have a demonstrator F3-S that had the footpegs moved likely several times to accommodate different U-Fit positions. I went to install some BRP floorboards and in the process of removing the two bolts that hold the peg on the frame tube, one of them was so over-torqued that the...

    F3 Idler Pulley install video

Thanks, I actually used Permatex Threadlocker Blue which I suspect is a similar product to Loctite Blue. Loctite is a brand, blue or red are the strengths IIRC.

F3 Idler Pulley Kit (Part #219800412) Installed!

Slagiatt, When you mention that the idler arm "completely" eliminated the problem, I wonder what the road conditions have to do with the effectiveness of the idler roller? My 70 mile test ride revealed an almost 90-95% reduction in the felt vibrations in the area where my F3-S was vibrating...

    F3 Idler Pulley install video

There are two 13mm bolts that are already on the F3 holding the rear foot pegs. Those two bolts are also re-used to install the idler arm bracket that sits on top of the existing hardware and you just need to Loctite down the two 13mm bolts when you put them back in to install the idler pulley.

F3 Idler Pulley Kit (Part #219800412) Installed!

Test rode my F3-S up to 104 (F4 windshield and Baker Air Wings) and there was no significant vibration during the acceleration period. Earlier I had reported that my trike vibrated from 68-72 but actually, it was vibey from 64-67. On smooth country roads this morning, it seemed by my seat of the...

Competition for Curve Carving with My F3-S

Pete, I have been following all of your farkle purchases headed for Oz and have a feeling that your poverty is slightly overstated ;). However, these parts do add up. Sam, within one day of announcing my purchase of the Stalker on a Lotus 7/Lotus 7 replica forum, a fellow poster had invited me...

Competition for Curve Carving with My F3-S

Chupaca, That is why I am in no rush to let any of the toys go. I am both envious and relieved that I have a Lotus 7 replica that uses American parts. I know I don't have to tell you and once owned a Lotus Elan S2 how challenging some of the British parts can be. However, I will be tracking the...

Competition for Curve Carving with My F3-S

I originally purchased my Can-Am Spyder F3-S to be a compliment to my Harley Tri Glide which I liken to a "Barco Lounger" of a trike. In the intervening time, I acquired a well-built kit car that unfortunately will "blow the doors" off the F3-S (neither the F3 or the Brunton have doors)...

F3 Idler Pulley Kit (Part #219800412) Installed!

Wow! Just wanted to give a shoutout to the thread participants and again to Pit Bull Powersports. I got the part in a padded soft mailing pouch this afternoon with a very rapid shipment and am in the process of installing the idler arm. It has taken me a bit more than 30 minutes because I have...
