• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Love my F3S and my Tri Glide Ultra

Very weird thing owning two very different trikes. When I am on my F3S Spyder, it feels like the most sensational trike in the world given that I have finally modded it to the point that it is comfortable. Then... I jump on my Harley Tri Glide with the new M8 engine and just enjoy the...

    Taking the F3-S Cross Country

Gary, The trailer does not need electric brakes at all. It is really very short-coupled. I tow my DropTail with a 2015 Honda Odyssey and it is more than adequate for my 1200 pound Harley Tri Glide as well as my F3S Spyder. Bob

    Rear Shock

Doug, I hate to muddy the waters but if you are sensitive to higher-performance additions, the BRP 2-Up Shock is rather crude compared to what is out there like an Elka shock. I weigh 160 pounds and solo, the BRP 2-Up shock made the ride a bit harsher although it did improve corner handling. If...

    Taking the F3-S Cross Country

Thanks for the pics and the suggestion. I had never seen that done before. I did look up the 10mm S/S Eye Nuts which I was not familiar with. I guess that you have found them sufficiently strong for the tie-down application in the past?

    Taking the F3-S Cross Country

With a Harley Tri Glide Ultra, I am kind of spoiled when it comes to storage space. Additionally, last year I did a 6k mile trip on my previous Tri Glide and the road kind of beat me up with the heat and the wind that dried the hell out of my eyes. This year, I plan to drive and ryde which is of...

    Taking the F3-S Cross Country

In April, I have decided to load my tricked out 2015 F3-S onto my Drop-Tail trike trailer and head out West. I plan to use my Honda Odyssey tow vehicle set up with a Cabella cot for about 80% of my sleeping quarters activities. I plan to camp in some State and National parks as well as other...

Intitial thoughts on my first ride.....and why I went back to the dealer!

The BRP belt tensioner solved about 90% of my felt vibration problems that occurred primarily between 63-67 mph on my 2015 F3-S. It frankly made my vibration issue a non-issue in terms of annoying vibrations.

2015 Can-Am Spyder F3s vs 2017 Harley Tri Glide Ultra

I had Doc over in Southeast Georgia really dial in the alignment. The twitchiness I refer to is the sensitivity of the steering amped up by the power steering. My trike tracks like it is on rails with hands off the bars on a level road. It is the ryder input that causes my trike to be mildly...

    Cruise Control

One of the biggest improvements I made on my F3-S ryde was to add Grip Puppies to the handle bar grips which in turn allows me to hold a lighter touch on the handle bars. This translates into reduced oscillations produced by the ryder. With the variable speed assist power steering, the learning...

2015 Can-Am Spyder F3s vs 2017 Harley Tri Glide Ultra

The F3s has air wings off the F4 windshield. The Harley has its own set of "air wings" that comes stock from the factory.

2015 Can-Am Spyder F3s vs 2017 Harley Tri Glide Ultra

Handling and Sophistication Bob, The F3's steering is significantly lighter due to the power assist steering. It also makes the Can-Am just a tad "twichier" than the Harley going down the road. The Spyder's front wheels allow for more precise cornering but I also find that I have to make more...

2015 Can-Am Spyder F3s vs 2017 Harley Tri Glide Ultra

I posted this update yesterday to the Triketalk group. Many of the issues I have had with the F3s SM6 is that it has been difficult for me to get a really comfortable riding position. I had to add Can-Am floorboards, Cannonball seat, BRP rider backrest, grip puppies, F4 windshield and even an...

    F3 cornering

+4, My F3-s with RonBar and 2-up rear shock is what I call my "sport trike". My Harley Tri Glide is what I call my Barco Lounger.

    Passenger back rest

Capt. Jim, So much for the "Patent Pending" that you so diligently pursued on your innovative backrest. I hope that people have good sensibility and realize that supporting the inventor/builder of an American made product is the right and likely best thing to do. The knock off does cost almost...

Can-Am F3-S vs Harley Tri Glide for Fit

Bike/trikes are as individual as the people that ride them. What is fun/comfortable for one is miserable for another. I had a lot of difficulty getting comfortable on my Spyder but finally got there. Glad yours fit you better than anything you had ever had. There are really no right answers...

Can-Am F3-S vs Harley Tri Glide for Fit

Pete, Actually that is a Celestron CPC800 alt/az catadioptric telescope. It is a little computerized telescope and I have some astrovideo cameras that will allow me to see deep into the cosmos in color. My last hardcore hobby was astronomy where my largest telescope was a 32" computerized...

Can-Am F3-S vs Harley Tri Glide for Fit

The little blue unit has about 205hp and weighs about 1500 pounds with 50/50 weighting and is RWD. I put on the Avon racing slicks to get maximum grip in an autocross event that I ran on Sunday. Thankfully, each run of the four runs was progressively faster which was a LOT of fun. It also didn't...

Can-Am F3-S vs Harley Tri Glide for Fit

Fitment continues Well, I had added the expensive Cannonball seat after all of the other mods I had done and my left hip was still giving me some nagging problems but much less so than ever before. So, I thought some more about the fit and decided that since I had a wider "perch" on the driver...

Can-Am F3-S vs Harley Tri Glide for Fit

My first attempt was with a BRP Blue Ridge windshield. For me, possibly the worst windshield I have ever tried due to severe helmet buffeting. I felt like a BB in a boxcar bouncing like a bobbing head doll. Yuk! Did a ton more reading and decided to try a F4 Customs windshield and my...

Can-Am F3-S vs Harley Tri Glide for Fit

It has been an interesting journey owning both a 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3-S and a 2016 Harley Tri Glide Ultra. There is about a $14k difference in price but I swear, I had to spend a bunch to fit myself to the Spyder in comparison to the Tri Glide. I have a deteriorating left hip from injuries that...
