• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Recurring limp home mode

Yeah, I told him the codes and he pretty much said that something was up with the sensor Or throttle body. He said he hasn't had to change but a handful on 2010 models. Do you have to change the whole TB or can just the sensor be changed?

    Recurring limp home mode

Recurring limp home mode, *** Update Well, had her for 2 years and finally a problem has reared its head, codes P2620 and P1120. Stared when we were about 80 miles from home and we stopped by a state park to cool off. After about 30 min we started up and was on our way when the limp home...

    Tips for buying

Good luck, hope you find one you're looking for. Back in 2014 me and the missus went to a local dealer just to test drive to make sure that's what we wanted. All they let you use was a 2014 RT. 5 min into the ride she was hooked and the rest is history. But like you I really didn't want to pay...

    High RPMs

Mine is a 998 also but I find that I get about the same regardless no matter if it's city or highway. I get a consistent 31-32 MPG. I tend to stay in the same RPM range so that probably is the factor of why it is so consistent. I had though about trading up to the 1330 but not a lot of used...

Anyone tried using Lucas oil stabilizer?

Lucas makes motorcycle oil. Both conventional and synthetic. Plus the stabilizer. I bought the RT 2 years ago and it had 15,500 miles on it. The dealer said they had performed a valve check on the machine as well as services and recalls that were open before selling. I don't always get the...

Anyone tried using Lucas oil stabilizer?

This is specifically for motorcycles with wet clutches.

Anyone tried using Lucas oil stabilizer?

I don't think it makes it thicker. You only add like 6 oz.

Anyone tried using Lucas oil stabilizer?

Has anyone used Lucas Motorcycle oil stabilizer? Saw it in Oreilly's at $10 for 12 oz. and wondered if it would hurt to use in the RT's. I normally use Castrol 4T oil but at start up I have some valve clatter for a brief 1 sec. Thought maybe this would help with the clatter when starting cold.

    Power commander or juice box

So I guess it basically fine tunes tunes the power curve and throttle response? Is it worth the money to invest on one? If I ever do add anything it will probably be a Hindle exhaust.

    Power commander or juice box

Has anyone installed a power commander or juice box on a stock spyder? Are there any benefits to doing so? If so, what were your results and opinion on either box. Mine is completely stock. Changing plug wires tomorrow since mileage is 22,500 and just thought maybe the driveability would be...

Rear air shock won't hold air.

Mine had a slow leak also and I never could find it doing the spray soap test. So after fighting to get the while bag out, I left the hose and valve connected and pressurized the air bag and submerged it in a bucket of water. Only then is when I could see very small air bubbles, I mean very...

    2013 heat fix for non-2013 RT's.

I had it done to my 2010 and it works great. No more hot gas cap or boiling gas. Actually feels like an A/C coming from the seat area at the glove box. Took alot of complaining and work on my part to get this approved. Only complaint is that you hear a good bit more engine noise since the...

    xm radio

Here's how I mounted mine. Bought the XM Snap by Audiovox from amazon for $30. Comes with the unit, antenna and auxiliary cable. I installed a power point in each speaker grille up front so I could pick which side I wanted to mount it. Used my mp3 auxiliary cable to connect in the truck and...

Yes, if you have part numbers, please provide them. My dealer still tells me they are unavailable to purchase right now.

Heat recall on other model RT's?

I know they fit, you know they fit, we all know they fit. But I am continuously told this from the 4 dealers that are with in 120 miles of me. And as far as finding another dealer, thats out. Unless I go 2 states away. And BRP is just as bad. They don't want to deal with individuals, it's always...

Heat recall on other model RT's?

I removed my acoustic panels also this past weekend. Helped a good bit with the heat coming up from the seat. Also removed the air deflectors. Next on the list will be to wrap the exhaust. At least the left side pipe. Wow that thing gets HOT! Dealer just doesn't want to help me with the scoops...

Heat recall on other model RT's?

Thanks, it really is frustrating. Our dealer in our town is new, only been open 2 months. But they have no concern at all about trying to get any information for me.

Heat recall on other model RT's?

On parts schematics it still shows the deflectors that go under the mirrors, no scoops. Therefore no part numbers yet on the new scoop pieces.
