• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Its Back!!!! Throttle body code

Dealer is closed today but I'm going to check a few things when I get home. It's done it a few times since the replacement. But after it sat about 5 minutes it started up and ran ok. Not sure why they have those little quirks. I'll check the connections and try to clear the codes and see what...

    Its Back!!!! Throttle body code

Went to fire up the spyder this morning for a ride to work and as soon as the key was turned I knew there was going to be problems. The engine and gas light were flashing together, fired it up and limp home came on. Checked the codes, P2620 and P1120. Had it replaced in 2015 and have only put...

    Belt alignment

That's good you got it figured out but per the service manual, the belt can contact the side of one of the flanges as long as its not both sprockets. Mine is up against the flange on the rear but centered on the front sprocket. If I get the belt a cc width away from the rear it touches the front...

Is the only Cat bypass benefit heat reduction??

I had mine on the v twin and while I did like the sound, it became a little raspy right at the rpm to shift. Wasn't really crazy about that. It did seem to pick up a little torque in the mid range but not a lot. And I didn't see that much heat reduction. Put the oem back on and installed a Two...

    Apkrapovic on older RT's

Thanks for the info. I was looking at the sport model, 219400444 I think. I figured they would fit but hated to buy and have issues. I bought a Two Bros from a member here anyway so that should get my bikes sound right. But if anyone is wanting a Akrapovic cheap, LeadersRPM has models...

    Apkrapovic on older RT's

I called Pitbull today and they said the same thing about the frame. They can't confirm on deny whether the kits would fit 100%.

    Apkrapovic on older RT's

Does anyone know if the Akrapovic exhaust will fit the older RT's? I found some online at a great price but they list them for 2013 RT's and 2013-2015 RS and STS. Wasn't sure if the design was a little different between the model years or not.

    RT rear shock removal

Unless he's hearing it rattle or click when hitting bumps I don't see how he can tell that. Mine was rattling and clicking some when hitting railroad tracks or pretty big uneven sections in the road with just me on it. Riding 2up it wouldn't do it. Dealer said the shock was going out. So I...

Ideas for keeping rocks out of sprocket?

I've caught a few but so far I haven't had any issues from it. It just sounds terrible when I do. If I have enough room to add an upper piece I'll post my fix. I know inspector gadget had a metal guard and an extra piece that could be added to it. I may look that up.

Ideas for keeping rocks out of sprocket?

I normally do 5-10 mph. I thought of making a template of the guard out of aluminum and making a piece vertical in front of the tire to stop them from being thrown. The rock must have jumped in the belt teeth and stuck there as soon as I got on the road because that's when I heard it.

Ideas for keeping rocks out of sprocket?

I put one of the belt guards from spyder pops but I'm still getting them every once in a while going down my driveway. The ones that get in the rear sprocket isn't a big deal but the other day one went through the front pulley and it sounded terrible :yikes:. I checked it out but didn't see any...

    Lost My Key!!

I can tell you around me there were no "proper" stores and no locksmith knew anything about Spyders. So after searching around most people buy the key online and then find someone that can cut and clone. Finless Bob did a good video on what types of keys can be used.

    Lost My Key!!

I bought a key from http://keys4urride.com/canam-motorcycle-spyder-trike-transponder-key-p-146.html and took it to my local True Value store. They cut it and cloned the code from my original key and programmed my spare. Cost me $20 for the cut and clone. A lot easier and cheaper than getting the...

Does this look ok on my belt?

I don't see any dust on the drive pulley and nothing looks loose or wobbly. I turned with tire off the ground. I haven't put a torque wrench on it but I will definently do that.

Painted my wheels and sprocket - what do you think?

Thanks. I thought about doing the handlebars too, still debating it. I will end up doing the windshield bracket but I don't have any other silver except for the lower frame parts on the side at the foot boards and I'll probably leave those alone.
