• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Planning a trip

Wife and I take a two week trip on the Spyder every year, nothing but backroads, unless its raining. Breaking in your butt sound funny, but a lot of shorter rides in the spring, building to loger ones before the trip helps alot. We also run fewer miles the first day, about 200, and add on more...

    Sudden end to a vacation

It is an aspen camper trailer. The brake controler is a prodigy that mounts on the hitch of the trailer and the remote control to change settings plugs into the power outlet on the bike. The controler looks like a mic on a CB radio, you adjust the brakes on the trailer just like with a dash...

    Sudden end to a vacation

NO WAY!!!! We will ride untill we are unable to get on it. Both wife and I are prettey calm people and dont get worked up by the things life throws at us. We know that God is on our side and has control. If it is our time to go ther is nothing we will be able to do to stop it, so we might as...

    Sudden end to a vacation

I loved my 2015 and the way it handeled. I did put on the BAJARON swaybar though. The problem I had with the 2015 is my left hip will start to hurt and burn after just a few miles. I addded a RDL seat and it helped, but didnt cure it. No matter what I did, I even added a gell pad to the seat...

    Sudden end to a vacation

Here is an update for all of you. After five months and almost $12,000.00, my 2015 RT Limited is back, all repaired and looks like new. As I suspected, the frame was bent and instead of totaling it, they installed a new frame, over $1,000.00 for the new painted frame alone. Several other parts...

    Helmet Advice

Check with Motorcycle Dave. He is selling the Sena modular helmet with the bluetooth comunicator build in from the factory and the price is about what just the comuniator would normaly cost. It is quite a nice modular helmet also.

    Dec 7 - Pearl Harbor

Not on the front lines is irelivent in my opinion. When you signed up to defend this country did you get a promise that you would never be in combat or on the front lines? Did you get a promise that you would be whole and alive at the end of your enlistment? I don't think so! The vey fact that...

2020 RT - anyone had success using iPod hook up?

I am nut sure, but my understanding is it is an either or type of thing. I pug mine into the USB port only and it works fine. I have also hooked it up VIA bluetooth only and that works. I have never used the headphone style plug on any of my players. By hooking it to both are you perchance...

Oddity in main odometer and trip odo.

We have been to Utah three times, two on the Spider with the camper and once on the Yamaha Venture with camper, and have always loved it. We hardly ever run the interstates, its back roads and byways for us. I got some info from UtahPete on some great places to ride and visit the last time we...

    Can-Am's position on tires

Kumho Ecsta AST. Ran it with 20 PSI two up towing the trailer. Tire was wearing nice and even all the way across the tread. It was good in the rain the first years trip. Unfortunately when we are on a trip, we do ride in the rain. Last trip to WV and VA it rained 4 out of 7 days.

    Can-Am's position on tires

It doesn't matter what the blurb says, real world experience says it all. I installed a Kuhmo about 1,000 miles before we went on a 2 week trip towing our camper trailer. We average about 5,000 miles on each trip, then we have our normal riding thought the season. The tire road nice, handled...

    Can-Am's position on tires

I hit a deer with my Spyder in July. a little over $12,000 in damage. I have CAR tires all the way around and the insurance company never said a single word about it, they paid for it all!!

Oddity in main odometer and trip odo.

Hmmmmm....Never noticed or watched my trip odometer and odometer close enough to see if there is a difference. I did notice the road, beautiful scenery and nature as I rode though. I will look and see what mine does when I hit a really boring road...... oh wait, I can't find a boring road when...

Spider Loaded in Toy Hauler ready to leave for Florida

We spent two weeks in Florida for our riding vacation 2 years ago. As long as you are willing to not run the freeways and stick to the back roads, it is a nice place to ride. Loved the airboat rides, but pick a company that has the small 5 or 6 passenger air boat, they are much more personable...

Interesting Info from BRP 2020 Report

Hmmmm.... I couldn't disagree more. I have a 2015 RT Limited with almost 50,000 on it, I also have a 2020 RT Limited that now has 4,960 miles on it after the purchase just a few short months ago. When I purchased the 2015 I hear a lot of people say that it was not worth paying the extra cost...

    Cold weather gear discussion

I purchased first gear heated jacket liner, pants liner, glove liners, and socks from BAJARON about 4 years ago. Great price and awesome service from BAJARON as always. There is a 2 dial remote for separate control of upper body and lower body temps. They work GREAT. Now down into the teens.
