• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Locked in gear

wave spring Thw wave spring as a culprit was mentioned in another post, hence pursuing same. As an oh by the way,it is pointed out in the manual that said spring has a very specific orientation,or clutch will not disengage. Well, orientation may be good, but it might be broken. I have reached out...

    Locked in gear

Manual Yep,have shop manual. Will investigate wave spring and see if I can pry any information out of the local Spyder buffoons er rather mechanic.i think shims and spacers might only come into play if clutch plates are replaced, either way,ill have to take pains to keep everything in order. Locked in gear

Model Yes,this is an SE,hence the centrifugal clutch.my understanding is the actuators actually engage and disengage the clutch as well.Is this a common failure, Roadster has about 63000 on it.So,if dealer has it,and it locks up,i assume BUDS will point to actuator.Otherwise, maybe complete...

    Locked in gear

Experiencing the lockup in gear, stuck in gear and stalling . Saw a thread where the wave spring was the problem. The wave spring appears to be integral with the centrifugal clutch. So,if i replace said clutch, how deep will i need to go before getting involved with clutch shims and all that...

    Air WIngs

Cold hands I use a variation of Hippo Hands,or handlebar muffs to ward off the elements. On my scooter,i use the Hippo Hands,on Pyder,i use muffs intended for ATVs. With slight modification, works for passenger grips as well. Oh,and Air Wings? Completely changed our Spyder experience,wonderful...

    Surging

Now that you mentioned it I'm getting ready to investigate clutch woes on my machine as well. I had posted about creeping at stops and the centrifugal clutch was mentioned as a possible culprit. Surging at speed as well.hmm, I guess I'll do the whole thing, clutch pack and all. Parts are kinda...

    Imaginary

Creeps at all stops, regardless of what gear, whether I downshift or the Roadster does. Aside from oil related, springs in centrifugal part of clutch going weak? Hmmm.

    Imaginary

Lately it seems Pyder has been creeping forward at a stop more than I have seen previously. Roadster is a 2011 SE with a out 64 k miles. Is there an adjustment I've missed? Maybe just a matter of perception..seems like it takes more brake to sit still and shudders like let's go already. What say...
