• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spelling

Incorrect spelling, punctuation, and using incorrect words irk the crap out of me too, but I ignore it on a public forum. I cringe in the privacy of my own home. The only time I would point it out is if I were teasing someone, or if the post was by someone on their high horse, calling someone...

Ben and Jerry's Phish Food is my go-to indulgence, but I like almost any ice cream.

    2014 RTS bike cover

I just got the Ultraguard half cover, but it has no openings for antennae. I'm thinking that I could perhaps use the buttonhole stitch on a sewing machine and just make a opening for it that way.

    Handling

Ok, I admit that my RS has Bajaron's anti-sway bar and has been tweaked to handle curves as well as possible; it is as tight as it can be without making the rear end slide out from under me. It is a magnificent beast. So, I'm less than impressed with my RT Limited's handling. Don't get me...

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

What do I need, and what do I need to know?

It's already on order. Moving up is imminent. I know that a lot of farkles are just personal preference, but I didn't know if there were any that would be of great benefit for safety reasons, for comfort, or for performance. Good to know about the shifting difference! Oh, I am well...

What do I need, and what do I need to know?

It looks like I am moving up to a 2014 RT Limited. I have been reading here, but in a nutshell, can you guys tell me what I really need to know about the bike before the first ride, and what additional farkles are recommended? I currently have a 2009 RS.

Well.. Bikebandit.com doens't deserve any of our business.

What a complete tool, and what idiots the folks at Bike Bandit are for posting his drivel. No matter. Revzilla, Cycle Gear, Amazon, Jafrum, etc. appreciate my Spyder money.

Advice needed for a short lady

I am 5'2", more or less. I own a 2009 RS. I have operated both an RT and a ST. Other than needing the risers on the RS, there wasn't a lot of difference regarding height, and the risers were just to adjust how much I had to lean forward. The sport riding position may not be a problem if you...

BRP called and they want their Spyder back

I dunno, Bob. I have given thought to an RT, but wonder how it would handle in the long run compared to the RS, and how much handling I would trade for the storage capacity and additional gadgetry. Just a test drive would not be enough for me to make that decision.

    Really BRP????? (venting)

Man, I can SO see both sides of this story! I am customer service/spare parts for the US office of a European machinery manufacturer. As a Spyder owner, I feel your pain. From my experience in my job, spare parts can be a challenge to get, and I work for the OEM! I am on my tablet, and...
