• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Let's talk Sunglasses

+1. I buy sunglasses online with the cheater bottom strip. They are advertised as for M/C riding, so it wraps around fairly well. Don't get just regular sunglasses, they let too much air in around them that hurts your eyes and also seems to attract small bits of flying dirt that WILL find your...

    Spyder Fire in NJ

Wow. Tough crowd. It was posted by a member on the Spyder Owners- Self Service and Technical facebook group so I assume they can tell the difference between a Spyder and a 2 wheeler.

Advice and suggestions for curves and Twisties?

I only have about 300 miles on my Spyder and am still learning to be comfortable and trust the bike. It's a very different animal from a two wheeler. I never really realized how even a slight shifting of my body steers a two wheeled M/C, but that same slight shift does absolutely nothing when...

ticketed for less than 1 mph over speed limit

You can easily see what I was referring to because I quoted your sentence. You said "It's OK if you are capable" after you mentioned text, shoot heroin or talk on the phone while driving. I suppose you'll now say you were joking.

What is an entry level Spyder?

If you're buying a motorcycle with an eye toward resale value, you're in for an education. News Flash! There already is an entry level for Spyders, it's the used market. A $20K Spyder with almost no miles for $10K. THERE'S your entry level.

Four Hours at a Shell Station Today

I too, have a genius 750 and it's great. I've kept every bike and scooter I've owned for the past 17 years on either this Genius or two BatteryDocs mostly all the time. Sometimes I'll unplug it for a week if it's a bike in storage, and then reconnect it. I've never had a sudden battery failure...

    salt waterup the tailpipe

It also depends on the height of the water, and believe it or not, all salt bodies do not have same salt concentration. And fresh water (rain) in certain areas may be more what was experienced but that's difficult to say. It may have seemed the tide went down and that's what made the water...

    Check is in the mail!

I wouldn't worry over riding it another 400 miles. Before riding it home, just check the oil, the coolant, and have the proper PSI in the tires and go! I'd even be tempted to wait until your riding season is over and do the fluid changes then. Just check everything first. I bought a pre-owned...

What is an entry level Spyder?

Different experience here. In my short Spyder ownership period, I have had young people smirk and ask me why I got an 'old guy ride'? If young people were going to flock to a Spyder, don't you think a few would have already?
