• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Something new from Harley

That seems unlikely really. Considering the number of Japanese bikes out there, and the millions of bikes being ridden in Asia that are in no way Harley's, seems very unlikely that Harley's numbers of miles is higher. And look at all the Harley's out there that are 10 years old and have less...

    Something new from Harley

Sure, with Harley's reputation for reliability, I'll sure head out into the boonies with one. :)

    First oil change

What does the manual recommend? My thought would be between 600-800 miles. I've always preferred doing the first oil change a little early. But that's just me.

Helmet Lock Device on End of Which Grip

I don't use a helmet lock, but my thought would be to put it where it won't be in the way when mounting or dismounting. To me that would be on the right hand since I always climb on from the left. But JMO. On Edit, I just assumed you were referring to locks on the handlebars, but you may be...

Wolo air horn for 2020 RT-L

I can't say I agree with 18 gauge wire. I use 12 gauge and 14 gauge wire normally for my aftermarket add-ons. I'd never go as small as 18 gauge. But that's just me. From what I've read 10-15 amp draw normally recommends at least 14 gauge wire. I didn't see anything about wire as small as 18 gauge.

    What's the recommended Belt Tension?

Somehow I doubt that everyone replaces them every time. :)

    What's the recommended Belt Tension?

166 lb.ft. I believe. Not too big of a deal, but you do need a long breaker bar to loosen, and a 200+ lb.ft. torque wrench to retighten them.

Any way to Change the Cruise Control Switch position?

Ah, I do feel better because I thought all the CC controls were on the right handlebar. Hate to find another thing I'm wrong about today.

I believe the OP's first post showed the file as a .jpg, but I'm not absolutely positive, and the post is now gone, so no way to tell.

    The Spouse...[Seeking Riding Experience Info]

When Peggy has ridden on the back of her 2013 Spyder STS-SM5, she says she gets a sensation of the Spyder moving around a little, like it's weaving slightly. I haven't ridden on the back, but have not noticed the movement that she has commented on. She says it's not uncomfortable or scary, just...

    Kangaroo at 120mph

Not a liar, merely mistaken, on several points: you mentioned 120 MPH, close but not quite. You also mentioned the bike was a write-off. It wasn't, according to what I read, they had yet to decide that until after it was checked out, but it looked to be mostly cosmetic damage. And they...

Any Windscreen tint suggestions? Spray products? Any better ways?

Personally I don't think I'd want to make anything anywhere in my line vision to be opaque. You said you "I don't think I'd ever actually look through" which to my mind means it isn't way down low. Maybe just try some of the tint material first.

    Kangaroo at 120mph

120 KPH is still nearly 75 MPH. Which to my mind looks more likely. Considering no plastic damage on the fairing, no broken headlight, no guts splattered up on the windshield, no buckled fender, no bent forks. I've hit deer at highway speeds and the damage done to metal body parts is amazing...

    photo test

Perhaps if you explained, in detail, what you've tried and what hasn't worked. I don't know if you're trying to post a photo from a phone, tablet, computer, Ipad, or what. More details are always better.

That was the reason I questioned KPH or MPH.

How easy it is to go for a road slide.

I agree, the driver did his turn correctly, unlike most drivers around here who pay very little attention to what lane to turn into. But the video shows a gap in the center median coming up, and it could have been the car was moving over into the other lane so he could turn right into a side...
