• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Oil cover tupperware blowing off

Dumb question, but was the little plastic "hook" on the side top of the panel hooked on to the bike. Sort of hard to describe without a pic... I have seen at dealers where none of the hooks were engaged and they said they were all like that... but they are supposed to be hooked, they just...

This Year I've earned a new riding badge....

Next up...hail... We rode in pea and marble size yesterday out of Sturgis. We ATGATT so no worries. Mesh gloves do let the marble size ones smack your knuckles a bit though. The bikes behind us were funny. We were at a stoplight waiting to get on I90 and I don't think the one girl had ever...

Can Am makes some nice pull over and full zip base layers too.

    Middle Dash switch

I may have pictures at home, but it isn't terribly difficult. The only trick is that there is a round hole under the rectangle cover. If you take off one of the main side body panels and pop the switch blank out you can fish wires without having to disassemble much else. You just need to...

    Sturgis Bound

Third break light, yes or no

Custom Dynamics. ... only issue I had was a loose wire in thier connector. I fixed it and now no problems. I like it as it gets the brake light closer to driver eye level so they have something right in their face when I am stopping.

    Sturgis 2016 - Welcome!

Welcome to everyone that is coming out to Sturgis this year. I have already seen several Spyders around. If you are out here and see a Blue RT and a Red RT (with the Blue in the lead), that is us. We usually wave pretty wildly. ;) We live just south of Sturgis now so it's like we have our...

Portable tire inflater and blown fuse!

I got a Harley inflator and run it off of the battery tender plug on the bike. It is fused direct to the battery. It seems to work well the few times I have needed it.

    Props to Doc - Riverside

That is nice to see someone finally making a custom harness like that. I made my own and wired our 622 like yours with proper yellow blinkers and I even wired the reverse lights to work properly, just needed to change the factory bulbs behind the clear lens to white. I am just not set up...

3 Extra screws... Really? HAPPY FRIDAY

My trick is to use a big piece of cardboard. I have drawn an overview of the Spyder on it along with drawings of some of the commonly removed subpanels. I cut X's where the screws go and as they come off the spyder they go into the cardboard. It makes it really easy to know exactly where...

    Is this normal?

We had to have the gaskets replaced due to oil leaking. Basically I scrubbed everything clean and kept the panels off so I could check it every so often and verify to the dealer that it was indeed the gaskets.

    Bad Head Gasket

We had to have the head gaskets on both of ours replaced due to oil leaks...we had a great dealership...the ordered the parts, we dropped them off and if I recall, back on the road in a couple of days.

    Gear Position Sensor - non-plastic

So...I don't have the equipment to produce these, but after having both of our gear position sensors replaced, and seeing several others having to do the same, and finding out that pretty much all the Can Am stuff uses the same part... I think it would be great if one of our vendors could...

    Black Hills - Welcome

We recently moved from Eastern South Dakota to Western South Dakota and even though we had a fairly large dealer there, I have seen waaay more Spyders out here. My office window faces Rushmore Road right by a gas station and major intersection and I see at least one every couple of days. I...

Wheel hop on pull behind motorcycle trailer

Hmm.... I have run 80 - 85 with our 622 and no issues whatsoever.... but that is with gear in it. But even with light loads I can't ever tell it is back there except with the mirrors.

    2011 RT-622 Wiring Question

That seems odd that every thing but the running would work...are you using the big round factory plug or is it converted? I rewired my entire 622 and now have red stop, yellow turn and even have white reverse lights. 8-).

Windshield & Parking Break not working Spyder RTS

Did you check the fuse with a meter? Sometimes they can look good but still might not be. Not sure if there is a relay associated with those or not...there is a relay bank under the seat...
