• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    It's Becoming Clear To Me...

Trip Just last week ended an 1800 mile trip. Had a great time twisting the West Virginia back roads. No probems except it rained some everyday, but hey, we had a great time. I have had tires blow on two wheelers in the past, and one time was by myself. Called a tow truck and replaced the...

Regulations As far as requlations go, when CB radios were in their prime, 30-40 years ago, the FCC asked you to get a license. Technically, you are still supposed to have a license, but no one, I mean no one does. The FCC is not interested in CB use, believe me. Use it as you would a walkie...

new bike by yamaha at americade

Venture I had an 87 Venture that I rode for 19 years. It was a great bike, never, never in the shop except for oil and tires. I wanted something sportier so I got a Honda ST1100 ABS. It too was a great bike. You are right when you say the Japanese have it down. Switched to a Spyder because...

The reason I chose a spyder

Clutch This is the first bike I ever had that was automatic (I Know, Semi automatic) but so far I love it. I still shift up and down, but no clutch. My first car was a Corvair with 3 on the floor. Then I got a Corvette with 4 on the floor. Through the years all my bikes were manual, and...

    CB problems - promising development!

I had the same problem. Installed a ground wire from the case of the CB to ground. Problem solved.

    Factory CB

Ground I think that is the way BRP mounts the CB and just needed a good ground to eliminate the engine noise that was causing all the static. Years ago I sold and installed CB's and Car stereo systems, and I know a good ground is important for the best results. From noise on stereo's to noise...

    Factory CB

I figured it out So I took the Tupperware off and put a ground wire from The Case of the CB to the chassis ground of the bike that took all the noise away and all of the muffled sound sounds great now

    Factory CB

So, I had posted earlier about my transmissions from my Factory CB were not being well received by other cycles. Others say my transmission is scratchy and hard to understand. I have tried other headsets. I was told maybe the antenna, so I got and installed a J&M specific antenna for the Spyder...

    vibration

I just had it to the dealer, they said probably belt adjustment, which they did, better but still there. will go the tensioner route in future, after I get some other quirks figured out. Only have so much play money.

    vibration

My dealer said they balance the rear wheel with beads. I guess that's easier than removing the wheel. and yes the handlebars are shaking. But I don't see any shaking on the fenders of the front wheels like before removing the wheel weights.

    factory CB

I have a 2015 RT Special Series with a Factory CB. I can hear fine, it's just when I transmit, others say it is scratchy and hard to understand. I have tried several headhsets with the same results. I could ck the SWR but don't know where the unit is. How do you find the CB where the antenna...

    vibration

There probably is a thread somewhere on this subject and if so direct me. I have a 2015 RT Special Series with 10k miles I have had it for 2 months, bought from a friend with 8500 on it. At 55 to 70 there was an extreme vibration, I could only describe as wheels out of balance. I put beads...
