• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    5,000+ miles. What’s Next

I picked up a "real horn" from NAPA for about $12 and it was an easy swap out. The little road runner beep just didn't cut it and was kind of embarrassing, to be honest with you. I wanted to install an air horn but didn't want to mess around with the limited space under the hood. I know some...

What Did You Do To Your RYKER Today?

Installed new handlebar that I picked up on Amazon for $30. I also added new ISO grips. Man, what a difference in comfort. Now, I have a more upright position and the grips are larger in diameter and padded. I have a Rally and the grips were too long to get the hand guards back on, but I do...

    LED replacement bulbs

I installed the Beamtech H4's and I have to tell you that it became a bit more involved than I thought it would be. The base on the Beamtech H4 is wider and the rubber boot becomes a bit more cumbersome in the tight area behind the headlights. I ended up having to remove the headlights to...

What Did You Do To Your RYKER Today?

It's raining outside, SOooo I replaced my headlights with the H4's that my wife bought me from Amazon. BeamTech H4 LED headlights. And before you decide to purchase them because they are inexpensive and work very well, make sure you are prepared to remove the headlights to install them. They...

    Next Evolution of the Ryker

It already seems like a pretty high RPM machine for the street. Just my opinion. Mine has plenty of get up and go, and I doubt I will have the need for any speed in excess 100mph. I think that I already contribute enough of my money to the oil industry when I am at the gas pumps. And the...

    LED replacement bulbs

I just received a set of Beamtech LEDs from Amazon, which has been recommended earlier on here and I have one question. It's probably something simple that I should know, but getting within weeks of '70yrs I find myself puzzling over things that I used to grasp easily. What is the difference...

Looking for hand guards ( the less expensive kind )

Not to hijack the thread but this subject brings back old memories. Back in the early 70's, around '74 I guess, I had only been married a few months and my wife and I loved riding my little 360cc Honda. I guess it was Jan or Feb and VERY cold but we were young and adventurous. It was night...

    Ryker 2up Tourer - Version 2020

Now that is one nice looking seat, chris! I like the way your are raised up, more even with the passenger. That is real interesting how you have personalized that cycle to fit your personal likes and preferences. That seat looks great.

What Did You Do To Your RYKER Today?

Moving the data panel forward is great for the young, but this old codger has to have it close enough to read it. Looks great. You have a real nice looking vehicle there, cjc.

Why JASO MA2 in a Ryker?

I don't think anyone can say anything bad about Amsoil lubes. If I have my preference, it would be Amsoil.

    Ryker 2up Tourer - Version 2020

Peter, the reason I said that "they" make them specifically for the Ryker is because I went to the website and they had one specifically made for the Ryker. I agree that he has done a fantastic job of modifying his Ryker in a professional manner.

    Ryker 2up Tourer - Version 2020

I did not know about having to alter the glove box lid. Surely they would not make one specifically for the Ryker that would require you to modify the box lid?

    Ryker 2up Tourer - Version 2020

Yes, the Puig. Excellent, thanks. Since I reside in Florida, I don't really think that I need the fairing. It really looks great, but I prefer a bit more open air/free feeling. Thank you for sharing your mods with us, and I have been watching the YouTube for your adventures.

    Another wheel fell off...

Sorry, my mistake. The only ones that I have seen were the ones with a thumb shifter, so I assumed that they did not make them like a regular clutch and foot shift motorcycle. My bad.

    Ryker 2up Tourer - Version 2020

I'm interested in that adjustable windshield and I believe you mentioned it somewhere else. Can you give me the name of that windshield in the third photo? I believe it is the photo: 50.jpg? The stock windshield is not high enough for me and I like the design of the one you have. Sorry if I am...

    Another wheel fell off...

Does a Spyder have a hand clutch and a foot shift? I thought the Spyder had a semi-automatic thumb shift? If so, are you REALLY comparing the Spyder shift to a motorcycle? Sorry, I really didn't want to get into the "which is better" debate. I just know that for my needs, I needed something...

    Another wheel fell off...

IMO the Ryker to Spyder is like the Harley Sportster to the Road King. They are both of the same family, but serve different purposes and have big cost differences. I had NO intention of purchasing a Can Am until I saw the Ryker. Due to physical limitations related to age ailments, I can no...
