• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I love my Spyder!!!!

The same at first Some sites focus on the problems I find , this site shares all information and helps potential Ryders see that most people have their Spyders for years and only need to do basic maintenance . The Dealer I bought mine off seemed confused when I said I was a bit leary on these...

    WUSSIN' OUT....

Yep :agree:My buddy from Canada here went down through Tennessee on his Harley and it was hot .. He started to feel lightheaded and that's the last thing he remembered before waking up in hospital , they were at highway speed and he just passed out and fell onto the highway . He had ( luckily)...

    PRAY for Officers families

Right on the button Anyone who ever gets arrested seems to have " a big problem" with law enforcement... And yes the families and friends plus every keyboard warrior on the internet as well as those with nothing better to do than yell in the streets immediately claim the person did nothing...

    unbelievable

More info needed Something was going on previous to the video for sure , but unless the biker pulled a gun there is no excuse for the attempted vehicular manslaughter.....:trike: And the video being shot is coincidental not some conspiracy as some on Facebook are claiming

    Mandatory Addition to Spyder Enjoyment

Good place to learn I've learned many important things about Spydering on here ... The most important is just Ryde it and enjoy it . Having a decent mechanical background and knowledge of things with engines in them I tend to analyze the ( bike , snowmobiles, boat ) I'm driving and worry about...

Newbie with questions on what model to buy

I must have a special GS Or my Speedo is malfunctioning  I have been over 75 a few times ( 76 maybe) on my 08 GS ... 18,000 Kms on it now , change the oil and service seems to keep it purring along , replaced two sensors ( $88.00). I don't actually mind the stock riding position so far...

    i want a slip on

Same Spyder I have the same GS , depends on the load on the engine for RPM ( downhill , uphill what gear ?) These V-Twins do hit a sweet spot between 5000 and 6000 and shifting is much smoother if you stay in there even when accelerating easy . After driving your :ani29:for awhile you will...

Octane - no 87, so alternating between 93 and 89... thoughts?

Again common sense Thank you Bob , for those who don't understand the physics and chemistry behind the recommendations of the engineers why not just use what they specify ?:gaah:

Octane - no 87, so alternating between 93 and 89... thoughts?

Yep :agree::agree:I use Shell V-Power 91 if possible but the Esso 93 works well also ... Petrocan (Sunoco) 91 if I have to . I have used Ultra 94 as well but not much difference to justify the extra 20 cents a litre here .

    Riding Boots

Always Unless I plan on a short Ryde and a very long walk ... I always wear motorcycle boots in all weather . It helps to spend money for good quality gear obviously for protection and comfort but I also like the feel for braking and gear changing ( for the manual like my GS) The IICON's I have...

    Recurring limp home mode

Not terrible But is a bad ( unnecessary) habit on fuel injection engines , the TPS and ECM will do what's needed if working properly. It's like the tendency for some to immediately rev the engine after starting it ... Makes you feel good maybe but doesn't help

    Wobble, wobble, wobble

Tire wear I think with the tires the way you describe the wear patterns , there is a good chance the "PO" was a bit off when he said " it was easy" and the alignment is lacking . The bald tires certainly won't help either . I think you will notice a big difference with 3 new ones and an...
