• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cool The opening pic and caption may be a little misleading " who doesn't like to do donuts" ? Maybe it's to convince the younger crowd Spyders might be fun ?

    Insurance problems

Take the Spyder course my company ( Commonwell) insured me immediately but yes it was expensive... $1600.00 for the year . I took the Spyder course at Georgian in Barrie and it dropped to $1200.00. They provide you with a Spyder for the course and give you the test for M2 exit for 3 wheel...

Fun machine I have a 2008 GS sm5 . I see the one you are looking at appears to have a Hindle pipe that's been painted , some other changes from original as well . If it has been well maintained and updates done it will be a great bike for you to get into the Spyder world . Lots of info on this...

    Heads up from Canada

Thank you After saying " I will refrain" .... but he didn't did he ? I will refrain from posting a comparison of crime stats showing U. S. compared to Canada per capita ... because I'm not on a Spyder forum to post or read that crap . Next time you are making a " public service announcement "...

    Canada info, please

False . You can't make a criminal record go away by waving money at a Border agency. ( wether you consider it " a silly adolescent slip up " or not ) You would need to get a pardon on your record its not any different than going from here to the States

    Canada info, please

Pretty modern little country up here Lots of gas stations up here , lots of towns and cities along the highways mostly like the good ole USA ...... doubt you will need a gun of any type unless you plan on trying to rob a bank up here ( haven't needed one in 55 years but that's just me I guess)...

    DRUGS IN CANADA??

Original containers only You might get lucky and not get searched .... but if they find a " baggy " with pills in it you could be in for a long delay . If they are narcotics or opiates or antidepressants etc you could be in legal trouble and/or denied entry

When in doubt... i live 45 Kms from Snow City Cycle in Toronto ( I'm in Courtice) and I got lots of advice saying that I could " likely" drive my Spyder there with the oil pressure light on because it was " probably " just a faulty oil sender switch... well it was the switch but I got Moto...

    Test ride

Different today Years ago we would not worry about someone taking a test drive mostly , but yes today liability seems to be something to really worry about . Although ...I was selling a 1975 TransAm in 1985 and when the guy came to look at it I wouldnt let him take it for a test drive (...

    I always forget

Love my GS Looking forward an RT or F3T is likely but I am still ( in my mid 50s) a sport and hot rod nut at heart , fighting the urge to add more horsepower to my Spyder risking reliability.... Maybe the answer is having both ?

Need a cover to fit '14 RT with trunk rack & tall windscreen!! Recommend any?

I have a GS. Bought the BRP cover, and it was made with extra pockets to extend for higher windshield and Givi bags etc. I'm sure many on here have your same set up and have solutions and options.
