• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can someone please tell me what BRP calls that " God Awful Yellow " that I've seen?

Some do.... Colour choice can be a wonderful thing ... to each their own for sure . I have a friend who has a successful car dealership ....has a big picture of a Yellow Corvette in his office and tells me " out of the thousands of cars I've sold this is the sexiest colour ever" . I was going...

    Thank you!

Welcome aboard I pop in here a couple times a week to read the story's and helpful hints ....drool over pics of new machines . I've had quite a few 2 wheelers over the years as well just as most on here have , and these Spyders certainly are a different obsession. This site is very helpful...

    Riding gear

Go with Joe I have the Joe Rocket armoured for me and my wife , we always wear them when on any highway or road 80 km per hour or more ( definitely on 401) and when it's cooler weather . We have fluorescent rain suits packed in the Givi side bags as well. We do Ryde with no jackets in ( Oshawa...

    Got Spyder.

Hardest part is over Bringing mine home I took a mostly non highway route , total 60 Kms . I must admit it seemed like a long ryde as it was the first time I had actually drove a Spyder at all ..... figured I had made an expensive mistake because it was (a) much different than any bike I've...

I wonder where the HD riders are going?

Another article http://a.msn.com/00/en-ca/AAoq9P5?ocid=se seems like there is a real concern not only for Harley

I wonder where the HD riders are going?

Not for me Drove a couple different Harley's 16 years ago , unless they have changed immensely I could not imagine paying that kind of money for one ... but I do have a few friends who have them now after owning Japanese sport bikes so ..... they were asking a lot of questions about my Spyder...

Danger of USING Digital devices while driving

Good post I was rear ended in my full sized Ram truck 8 months ago .... by a 17 year old young man who admitted he was texting . I only ended up with a stiff neck and $3500 damage to my truck . If I was on my Spyder with my wife on the back ...... 3 lives changed drastically in an instant :(

    Spyder's and Age

Older not bolder I think as we get older we tend to care less about what people think , and think more about what we would enjoy . I used to get a kick out of working at Heights when I was younger but now it makes me a little nauseous... we do lose that invincibility mentality at some point I...

    The Rain Just Keeps Coming

Same here Around Toronto we have not had 2 or 3 days in a row without rain in months . Weekends without rain even more scarce . Been for 3 Rydes this year and got chased home by rain on two of them . I work in construction and scheduling is impossible as well . Hope this is a "trend" and not...

Riding in tight formation at 75+ MPH.

Never again That's why I don't do charity rides anymore . The few we were on someone was constantly telling everyone to stay closer , at one two bikes went down ( one Harley and one Aprillia) and a few close calls . 2 seconds at over 75 miles per hour ( over 120 Km/hr) ? Is insane . Would not...

    they couldn't keep up

Keep practicing The more you Ryde , the better you will get . Don't push past where you feel comfortable but a little experimentation can be fun

    Might be of interest

Spyder to the rescue Because of an inner ear problem and subsequent loss of balance around age 40 I had to give up a few sports that I loved for safety reasons , motorcycle riding was a big one ... golf is still doable but not the same . Seeing a couple Spyders at the Friday 13th weekend in...
