• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New spyder owner with questions

First day was bad Or I should say the ride home from the dealership, thought I made a big mistake . Rush hour in Toronto ( which is actually about 4 hours);didn’t like my Ryde Home but went out on some clear county roads later and immediately got better . It still took a few times to feel...

    I did it...almost

Where did you test drive ? I’ve dealt with Snow City Cycle in Toronto for a few years now , they are ok by me for service and Hans ( who sold me my Spyder ) was good to deal with . Good advice from the folks on here about test driving both , many have owned Spyders from the first model to the...

    F3 Maybe???

Take the course A test drive or two at the dealership will help , but with the Spyder you will find most people on here needed a little time to get used to the “ feel “ of it . They are a bit different than two wheels but a little time in the saddle and I was hooked . I have the original GS...

What do like about your Spyder

Back out there I ended up with severe balance problems when I was 39 ( inner ear) and lost normal balance for life . Although I have regained my ability to walk, work etc driving a 2 wheeled bike anymore was pretty much over with , at least safely for my thinking . The Spyder gave me the...

    Need Some Suggestions

Called the course provider ? Not sure if I just missed it but did you call the course provider to see what their stable consists of ? When I took the Spyder course in Barrie here in Ontario , all the trainers were RS or RSS Spyders . There was actually a gentleman taking the course who uses a...

    9 degrees outside

Crazy for sure Not much snow here east of Toronto... but a few days of high winds that sent my shed airborne into the neighbors yard 🙁.

    My first Spyder

Congratulations You will be hooked after a little time of getting the feel of these . The “ sporty “ part for me happens when my wife doesn’t feel like going ( not often ) or when I can think of a good excuse to pop over to the store .... the loooooong way of course ;)

    Give us your best shot!

Love it Hopefully we will have Ryde weather in a month ( or so) here in the north to get some new pics . My last iPhone got scooped so most old pics of my GS are gone sadly ☹️

Does it really take 300 miles?

1st Ryde sucked My trip home from dealership in Toronto - was on a Friday afternoon at 3pm ( not good) - HOT summer day full gear - first 5 minutes got cut off and took sidewalk to avoid getting crushed- 2 hours to get 40 kilometres home - kept squeezing handlebars for front brake ...

    Fuel octane explained.

Yes but Technical common sense won't convince people to do anything they aren't already doing . Fuel and lubricant is the first thing we covered in trade school 30 years ago and the only thing that has changed slightly is the technology to adjust ignition timing .... if premium was the same...

Got rear-ended in my truck. Glad I was not on my Spyder

What if Looks almost identical ( damage ) as my Dodge Ram last year when a 17 kid rear ended me texting near my house . The impact to cause that damage is much more severe than most people would think . In my case the kid stayed there and his father showed up and eventually paid the repairs...

    Storing spyder

No blocks but.. I don't store mine in my garage because it's full of much other stuff since I'm a contractor. I did build a platform from pallets with plywood on top for my Spyder and tractor . I just change the oil , put a little Stabil in the full tank , hook up a battery tender and put my...
