• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2022 RT Ltd Rear Trunk Lock is virtually useless! Anyone else's the same?

The lock mechanism just needs to be adjusted slightly. I had the same thing happen to my '21. It took about 10 minutes. --Exco

Need suggestions for record keeping software

If you want to create/ use a database, most of the software will require at least a basic understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL)The basics are, but the more advanced stuff can be daunting. There are several open-source options if you want to go this route. But like @CopperSpyder...

What Helmet Liners do you wear?

I use a skull cap https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B09LLFCXLL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 in the summer. I typically will carry 2-3 with me on my summer rides. In the winter months I don't wear anything under the helmet. I have a modular, so I tend not to get too cold. --Exco

Have you come up with Additional turn signals for '21 RT?

The kits are worth the cost unless you're REALLY good with electrical things. It appears that SpyderPops is now selling the plug-and-play power supply for their lights separately They didn't do so previously. It makes tapping into the running and turn signal circuits easy. --Exco

Radiator Grill Guards install - any easier if shark fins removed first??

Consider purchasing a 90-degree attachment for your drill. It makes driving the screws in that hold the screens a hell of a lot easier. The one I have linked is just an example, they're available for a bit cheaper. --Exco

    Scam using scare tactic

If you get bored, check out some of the "scamming the scammer" videos on YouTube. Most of these people are hackers and such that go out of their way to disrupt the scammers' operations. They're also very entertaining while they do it. --Exco

Any portable air compressors to run off battery lead?

Admittedly, this compressor - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B077N9PXV3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is a bit large, but... It's one of the best 12V compressors I have found. It could easily be made to work. Either use the battery clips, or add in an adapter...

Got a PedalBox, getting VSS Fault & Limp Mode msg - any ideas/fixes?

I haven't had any issues since I installed one on my RT-L. I just plugged it in, connected to my phone via Bluetooth, picked my setting and rolled on. I have found that it sometimes takes a minute or two for the PC to connect to my phone. I don't try to roll out until the radio has booted up...

Anyone else experiencing Braking instability? What possible causes?

I had this issue on my '22 RT-L for the first few hundred miles. I came to realize that it was my grip on the bars. I tend to clench up when there is a "stressful" situation, and emergency braking certainly qualifies. I tested this by doing several "emergency" stops in an empty parking lot at...

    Scam using scare tactic

It is worth it to make yourself aware. Do a Google search on the various cybersecurity best practices as it relates to email, telephone, etc. It's difficult to be an informed victim! --Exco

Your thoughts on the Best Riding Jacket for the Spyder?

I have had good luck over the years with Joe Rocket jackets. There are more options and styles than you can imagine. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YQV9TWD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - This is the one that I purchased in September of last year. --Exco

Want to install GPS on 2020 RTL, which one to order? What's the difference?

You haven't provided much info on the specific products that you're looking at. For the almost $100 difference in price, I would assume that they each have different features. I have a TomTom Rider 550 that I picked up on Amazon. I went with TomTom due to previous experience with them, and it...

Need to Tow my 2018 RT - any options? Does U-haul have a suitable trailer?

You could most likely use a utility-style trailer from u-Haul if that is the route that you want to use. I purchased a 6X12 utility trailer shortly after I purchased my Spyder. I use it for more than the bike, but I upgraded from a 5X10 so that it would fit. So far I have only taken it in for...

Thinking of buying a Spyder, but have a lot of Questions - any help please?

Welcome! I agree with most of what has been said above. I have a '21 RTL, bought it June of 2021, and I haven't looked back. I have about 7K miles on mine. The one thing that I disagree with is the sway bar upgrades. I'm sure they make a significant difference, but I have not seen the need...

    GWRRA Org. SHUTTING DOWN

GWRRA is having their 43rd "Wing Ding" here in Shreveport this week. I went yesterday, just to look around, and to see if there was anything that I may want to buy for the Spyder. Nothing was said or announced. --Exco

    Where did you start?

My first bike was a '91 Suzuki GS50 that I picked up when I was on active duty, but I had to sell it after about a year when I got transferred. I then waited almost 15 years before I got my next bike. It was an '05 Kawasaki Z750S, which I had for almost 3 yrs, but rarely rode. I couldn't handle...
