• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Advices to the passenger for more comfort?

This was one of the main reasons we went back to a wing. After 15k of trying and money spent on upgrades my wife never got to be friends with the RT. On the wing she is happy and comfy.

Are you retired from or currently working at your "dream" job?

Been a mechanic all my life. Started at 15 and now 68. I've worked on everything except airplanes. ruined my neck working on boats and got a small pension from the state. Now I do Motorcycle restoration work to put nickles in my travel jar so we can travel on the bike in good weather. It's been...

    M/C License - Yes/No?

I'll bet they will still requier the three wheel license. They have had that for a while. I doubt the state would miss an opportunity to make money.

2017 F150 super crew XLT. 2.7 eco boost, 6 speed, 4x4 with 3.55 axle. Driving consists of streets, hwy and mountains. Usually don't tow more than 2500 lbs.

    Ford's Ecoboost....who has one?

I've had two F150 with the 5.0 liter and the current truck has the 2.7 eco boost. The little six banger performs way better than the v8. under load it gets about the same milage but it takes fuel to make hp. I average around 20 mpg street and hwy.

    Handling

I did all the above mentioned mods to my 15RTL and gave it 15k miles but could never make friends with the handling. My wife was never comfortable on the back and the steering effort raised hell with my back. The spyder has some good features but I'm much faster and more comfortable on the wing.

    Russell Daylong Seat Questions

I'm on Russell seat number 6 and wouldn't have anything else. As has been said they give you a production date and they call when it is being shipped back. On my current seat I went with the gray Sunbrella covering to avoid the heat and it is very good on the butt and looks good. Make sure to...

    Custom Seats

Rich builds a good seat but IMHO Russell is better. I've had 6 Russell seats and loved every one.

Right front tire wearing on inside

Make sure the alignment is done with the tires that are going to stay on the machine. changes in tire size can and will have an effect on the alignment. Even tires with the same indicated size will vary in height and width.

Spyder RT verses Goldwing.. We're confused

The ride will probably never be as smooth just because you have three wheels on the ground following three different tracks instead of two wheels following one track. We gave our RT two seasons and 15k but went back to the wing for smoother ride and better handling. The spyder is a nice machine...

    Las Vegas

When my wife got run down by a truck on her motorcycle we went through EMDR therapy and it really helped. I have encouraged my daughter to seek out the same kind of help.

    Las Vegas

My daughter was there and the girl next to her was one of the deaths. She is so terrorized I couldn't understand her on the phone other than to find out she was unhurt. It's going to take serious help for those involved to come to grips with the trauma. Prayers to all those affected...

    Question about Hydroplaning

It seems your ignore list is defective. What I posted was a general statement that applies to any forum about any subject. No one person was mentioned or quoted so if you took offense to my post you better check the mirror in the morning to find the source of your discontent. :p XOXOXO. Bye now.

    Question about Hydroplaning

It's just an internet forum folks. There is no need to get your panties all wadded up cause we are all experts in our own mind. I myself have been paid to testify and provide expert testimony on automotive and marine subjects but that doesn't make me the absolute authority and I don't profess to...

    Question about Hydroplaning

Lower tire pressure can help and better tires than stock are helpful. You have a light vehicle with wide tires so there isn't a lot of weight to help the tires cut through the water. I had mine sideways a few times in the rain with good tires proper air pressure and plenty of weight on board..

Seeking Honest Feedback on Russell Daylong Custom Seats

I'm on Russell seat number 6. I can't say it will solve your problem but It sure makes my arthritic hips and knees happier. The Russell moves you up and back a bit. and they will move the passenger back if needed. After you have some miles on it they will make adjustments if needed. Top notch...

    Trailer Towing?

    And this means What????

    Trailer Towing?

The trailer takes a beating. some worse than others. The tounge mounts broke on my Bushtec and the bottles in the cooler broke. The Spyder will tow it just fine but put sensitive stuff as far back in the trailer as you can. A proper frame mount hitch is the answer but nobody is building one at...
