• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2018 RTL and NEW freedom trailer issues..

I towed a Bushtec for 15k behind the RT and never had exhaust issues. I think the cooler on the tongue and the extra length helps the airflow.

    RECOMMENDED tire pressure for summer

RTFM You will get lots of opinions but remember they are worth what they cost. Not saying anyone is right or wrong but the book will give you a reasonable starting point.

    New to Can Am

I gave up after 15k and went back to a wing. The spyder has some really good features but it's a different kind of ride. I would advise to rent one a few times to gain some knowledge. Opinions are good but seat time is better.

    Spyder Idiosyncrasies.

They are a different animal and the spyder koolaid just isn't the silver bullet for everybody. The twitchy part never goes away, you just get used to it. With three wheels in three different tracks you are always going to have some of it. Suspension mods can help but by design you are...

    Test rode my first RT

I had the same experience but bought a 15 rtl anyway. 15k miles and lots of upgrades . Never got used to the handling and my bride wasn't comfortable. The Spyder is a fine machine but isn't the magic bullet for all. I went back to a wing.

How many are too many wieghts on a NEW rear tire

Nobody has xray vision so no telling if the tire is defective. Keep in mind that lead weights are off the market so it takes a lot more steel weights to do the job. If I feel a tire takes to much weight regardless of markings I break it down and turn it until I get the minimum amount needed...

    Best sounding motorcycle ever

Just finishing a resto on a KZ1300 Kawi. The sound of the six into one is pretty cool. The owner of this bike also has the CBX.

Need hitch and harness advice for Lee-sure Lite

It can only be a warranty issue if what you did or installed caused the problem. Otherwise you are fine.

    Leaving the fold.

I had a similar experience. The Spyder is a fine machine that does everything it's designed to do but it just wouldn't lean going around corners and I needed that to be comfortable. Enjoy your new ride, I went back to a wing

    Oil Extraction.

I wouldn't suck it out for all reasons above. When I was working on boats for a living if at all possible we would put a fitting and hose on the pan so we could extract all the oil. I worked in a marina that for oil changes they would pull the sending unit and install a hose then idle the...

I'll second the Swiss tool. Mine has been through 20+ years of abuse and still looks and works like new

    2018 Spyder RT Limited seat

I spent a metric butt load of money trying to make the RT comfortable for us. Seat, bars, pegs, and backrest. A RDL seat was a great improvement but still not the answer so the Spyder went to the neighbor and we got another wing. Good luck.

    RT Seating Opinions

You can't move the backrest itself as it is part of the bike and the back section is all one piece. What Russell did for us was to remove foam and reshape it so my wife was able to move back. The seating on the RT is cramped for a big machine and one of the many reasons I went back to the wing...

    RT Seating Opinions

Seat I'm 6'3" and 280. I had Russell build a seat for my wife and I. They moved me back a little and they reshaped the backrest to move the passenger back. The seat was great but the Spyder experience not so much. After 8 RDL seats I wouldn't even try anything else.
