• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone found a good drivers cup holder that fits on the 2020 RT? Pennyrick

    Was a Spyder a Mistake?

W6ada.... We just bought my wife’s third Spyder. After some trials and tribulations with our 2012 RT’s we decided not to go with the 1330 model when it came out and stayed with the twins. This year, we bought her a new 2020 RT Limited and she couldn’t be more pleased. The dealer has been a bit...

    Comfort seat mix up

Your response got me to thinking... 1974- Honda CB 360 (2 of them) 1978- Suzuki GS 1000 (2 of them) 1982- Honda Aspencade (just mine) 1987- Yamaha 1100 (only me) 1999- Honda Valkyrie (back to Honda’s) 2002 - Honda 1800 ( had it triked) 2009 - Suzuki Burgman (Penny back on bike after accident in...

    Comfort seat mix up

Thanks. I think her primary complaint was that the driver backrest seemed to be too laid back to provide any real back support. We’ll just have to play with some adjustments once the seat we ordered is in place. The corona virus problems added to the dealer not installing what we ordered has...

    Comfort seat mix up

It’s all good now. The dealer has agree to let me pick up the new seat and retain it until they can install after they reopen once the Georgia stay closed period ends at the end of April. The local Sheriff closed down the dealership yesterday. I think the dispute was a difference of opinion...

    Comfort seat mix up

Thanks for all your responses. I hope I didn’t denigrate our dealer. We bought her last three Spyders there and prior to that I purchased 7 two-wheelers. They have seen a lot of turnover in staff and we don’t know the new people very well. They are polite but always seem to be too rushed to...

    Comfort seat mix up

We picked up my wife’s new 2020 RT Limited up last week. We ordered the bike stock with the addition of the comfort seat, shorter bars, rider backrest and the lower front accessory light. After putting a few miles on it Penny said the seat felt uncomfortable and the back rest seemed to be...

2020 RT rear USB ports - switched or live?

Are the rear USB outlets in the RT’s back case switched or are they live all the time? Rickpenny

    2020 RT limited sound system

Thanks for the responses. I loaded her tunes into the iPhone and connected it with Brp connect, paired the units and now she has her music back. Pennyrick

    2020 RT limited sound system

Question on the sound system on the new RT. Penny has all her favorite classical tunes on an 8gb memory stick that plays in her Nissan Murano and my Ford Fusion by just plugging it into an open USB port. Plugging it into the USB port on the new RT when switched to Auxillary doesn’t result in...

Can-Am Spyder vs Gold Wing Trike Handling

WingMan I was a GoldWing rider for years dating back to my 1982 Aspenacde. My wife bought her first Spyder in 2010 because she had a bad shoulder and needed the power steering. I stuck with the GoldWing and had my 2002 triked. The Honda was (I thought) more attractive and was more comfortable...

    Coping with limp mode

When BUDDS aren’t available I agree with all you say. BUT! Eight or ten years ago when we travelled extensively on our RT’s it was not possible to find a dealer within a few hours of travel time to help source the fault. Driving Route 12 along the outer banks of South Carolina or riding the...

    Coping with limp mode

Thanks for the response. I think Blueknight911 covered the topic well and I hope his explanation gets added to the Do’s and Dont’s thread. I understand the need to research dealer locations when planning a trip but some of the places we’ve travelled to are well off the beaten path and a long...

    Coping with limp mode

Thanks for the responses. It looks like we wasted a lot of time waiting for codes to clear and five feet from the bike is a lot fewer steps than 100 yards away. Any way it’s good to know it will work on her new RT should the occasion arise. Of course the are a lot more dealers around now than...

    Coping with limp mode

This topic may be peculiar to 990 models but we’re wondering if it may work on 1330’s as well. I downloaded the Spyder Do’s and Dont’s thread started by ARtraveller some time ago and gave a copy to my wife to read before she goes anywhere on her new 2020 RT limited. I thought she ought to have...

2020 RT is home in the stable

Congrats. My wife just bought the twin to yours. We pick it up in the morning. She began to be a Spyder owner with a 2010 Orbital blue (like you), then I had a 2010 timeless black (like you), I traded that for a 2012 Limited white (like you). But Penny then went the Lava Bronze route with her...
