• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where did all my oil go?

Dry Sump? The 998 motor is dry-sump. The ACE-1330 is not. It just has a very difficult-to-read dipstick. Terry

    Loose weight and

Lithium Battery No it shouldn't, because unlike lead-acid batteries, the voltage from a lithium battery is constant. Your electrics don't like low voltage or voltage spikes, and lithium batteries were designed to eliminate these problems.. So, your lithium battery will crank the engine safely...

    RT GAUGES GONE

Oil temp gage And intake Vacuum gage Those two holes would make a nice home for oil temp and intake vacuum gauges, and the best thing is you would barely have to "break into" the electrical system to install them. I wonder if it's doable (sensors, installation)?

    EVANS WATERLESS COOLANT

Waterless Coolant I used it on my 2013 RS-SM5 Spyder. I noticed that the machine ran slightly hotter, and also since I only kept the trike for a year afterwards, I can't say whether or not it's worth the money. It does claim to have anti-corrosion properties for up to 20 years! The flushing...

    2014 Spyder RT Oil Change

Quick Update For the 2017 F3-S, use a 6mm hex key on the transmission plug. Also before loosening the two drain plugs, check to make sure the bits fit snugly into the heads of the plugs. NO ROCKING, NO SLOP. Your bits should be high-quality pieces, not Chinese-made cheapos because they are...

    My 2nd Spyder - 1st F3

As a new owner of an F3-S Daytona SE6, and a previous owner of a 2013 RS-SM5, I must say Can_Am really got the Spyder right with the F3. The F3 doesn't cook your leg, it's a lot more comfortable, gets better mileage and performance, and maintenance is easier. I think the only thing the F3 lacks...

    Comfort Impossible for a RSS?

Comfort? Here you go.. Hi, I have an 2013 RS-SM5, and what I did to mine (I found the stock position to crouched and cramped for my legs) to increase the comfort level was, 1) I replaced the RS bars with ST bars-they bolt on with no mods other than cutting a couple of wire straps to give the...

    Who's the FRIGGIN' IDIOT???

That's a fact I have to have my Spyder parked just right to access the rear tire valve (2013 RS-SM) and even then I have to practice yoga and nearly standing on my head.

Anyone know where to get Handlebar Risers for 2013 RS-SM5?

TheVBasdfghj The ST bars worked perfectly, took some "doing" but I didn't have to cut anything, just buy ST wire covers for the bars. I don't know why Can-Am changed the bar design for 2013, just made changing the bars a chore. :opps:

    Opinions of comfort seat

Comfort seat Try to get the floor boards too because then you can move your feet around. With the stock pegs, my feet were tucked under at an odd angle with no room for movement and I could never get comfortable. Even shifting and braking was a chore. With boards, your feet rest naturally and...

RS SM5 trouble shifting into 2nd

Shifting Problem Ok..first the obvious..is the shift lever tight on it's shaft? If not it can move a little as you're shifting and will require more force to change gears. If it's tight, then make sure your clutch disengages fully when the lever is pulled in. If it doesn't, you could have air...

    Opinions of comfort seat

Comfort Saddle on 2013 RS I bought my 2013 RS brand new. I'm a 5'7 " rider and I could swear when I first got the trike its ergonomics were designed by the Marquis DeSade. ST bars, shift-lever adjustment, comfort saddle and a set of floor boards later and aaaahhh! All day comfort. I can ride...

Anyone know where to get Handlebar Risers for 2013 RS-SM5?

What year was the ST? And what did you have to change to make them work? I get backaches the way my RS is currently set up. Thanks!

Anyone know where to get Handlebar Risers for 2013 RS-SM5?

Hello, does anyone know where I can get handlebar risers (hopefully 3-inch or more) for my 2013 RS? They changed the handlebar design that year, so the earlier riser kits won't fit. Starting in 2013, the handlebars are just stubs at the ends of the center bracket, the throttle cables were...
