• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Orange Exclamation Point

I got that icon twice now with limp mode indicator. I’m fairly certain I invoked both instances bynot pressing the start button squarely enough (I was standing next to bike and thumb was off at angle. Anyway, both times I shut the engine off and restarted making sure I pressed the start button...

Weak Audio Output on 2018 Spyder's w/newly designed digital display models

Volume seems ok on my 2018 rt limited, but i have volume indicator at approx. 70%. Have no comparison to give opinion. I have noticed that at stops while idling, the audio gets distorted. Maybe from vibration?

    1,000 mile review

Some observations: 1. Tracking well thus far so alignment is good. I’ll keep an eye on tire wear patterns. 2. Quirk? I started the bike up while standing beside it and got the exclamation point/limp mode message. I shut it down and then sat on seat...normal start. I did it again (standing...

    Break in?

I’m just under 900 miles. I like to vary the speed, rpm. If on a lengthy ride, stop to give her a rest (apologies to anyone if I offend by using the feminine for my ride). Other than that, follow what everyone else has offered in way of info.

    That ride...you know the one.

More good advice from the forum. There are islands off northern Ohio coast and plan to take me Spydie over just like I took my other bikes for a day trip. Next up on the farkle list.

    Under $10,000 Spyder

Wish I had the room to stash my Burgman 650. Fun ride and a highway eater. Rode it to Canada and back. Comfortable (after I modified the seat) and swapped for Kurykan grips.

    That ride...you know the one.

For sure. On the interstate, gave me a chance to see how she handles the wind. She has some movement, it’s just a different ride. Relax the grip and she’ll tell you what’s needed. Loving it.

    That ride...you know the one.

Took my 2018 rt limited out for a good ride. Getting to one another a bit better. 2-1/2 hr ride to C-Bus for a look at a new helmet. There’s a big retail place in Westerville. Anywayyyyy. I took the scenic route. Halfway there on a country highway, I run into road construction (fresh gravel...

    Re-introduction

NE Ohio checking in again. It’s been awhile since I first posted in the forum. Didn’t own a Spyder at the time. Mostly a lurker. Now, the proud owner of a 2018 RT Limited-Pearl white dark edition. So much to learn while enjoying this amazing machine. My last ride was a Burgman 650 which I will...
