• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP called me back today about my heat issues.

The issue with removing the 2013 RT's right hand underpanel is that there is a large electrical connector that will then be exposed to road spray. I resolved that issue by attaching a small aluminum shield.

    leaking battery

I don't know who makes Harley Davidson batteries, but those suckers last. I bought my '07 Road Glide in Sep '06 and sold it in May '13 and the battery was still going strong. I did have to replace the battery in my '04 Sportster this summer after nine years. I've heard YUASA makes them, but...

    AMSOIL or BRP oil

All multi-grade motor oils will shear. And the greater the spread, the greater the shear. So, a 0W40 will shear more than a 10W40. Also, the amount of shear is not time dependent. I have a Ford PowerStroke that will shear 5W40 synthetic Rotella to 30 weight in 2000 miles even though the oil is...

Dave & Teds Most Excellent Adventures 2013

Dave, just so you know, anytime someone is running a fever above 102, and you can't reduce it with Tylenol or aspirin, it's time for a trip to the ER. 104 or higher means it's time for an immediate trip to the ER. Staph infections are never something to be trifled with. Before the advent of...

Potential to Make Some Money - Ram Air Scoops

So here's my question. Are those owners of '13 Spyders (note the ' belongs on the left side of '13') really trying to solve their heat problems, or are they simply interested in bashing BRP, Spyders, and other Spyderlovers? Here are a couple of observations: In the vast majority of states...

Spyderfest Hotel info and more about ''The Next Legacy''

Reservations made!!:yes: This announcement just blew my mind. In fact the Better Half and I were talking last night about how much larger the '14 Spyderfest might be and where you would hold it. Certainly, the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds has the room, not only for next year, but for...

So, what is your cap and crotch temp since you've done the insulating? And what/where did you insulate? This is the kind of information we need to know. Air temp coming off the radiator is pretty immaterial since it's controlled more by the ambient temp and thermostat than anything else...

Dave & Teds Most Excellent Adventures 2013

Hey Dave, do you have pictures or a video of that installation? This sounds like a solution to many peoples heat problems.

I have had enough "spyder loving" from non 2013 owners

No, I don't think you should just go away. I understand some of you are having terrible problems with your Spyders. But I think it's counterproductive to simply excoriate BRP for not coming up with a fix. Let's put our heads together and try to find some solutions. When I bought my 2007 Harley...

You know, Dave, your hatred of your Spyder and BRP is consuming your life. It's eating you up. We all get that you have had problems with your Spyder and are upset. I really believe you would be much better off without it, even if you had to take a loss. I cannot imagine how you can enjoy ryding...
