• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RT rear tire life

I have a 2013 RT-S and after just over 3000 miles I'm down to the wear bars in the center of the tread. I don't do "burn outs", but do ride in a spirited manner on Ozark Mountain back roads. I'll need a new rear tire some time between 4000 and 5000 miles.

    Spyder road wondering.........

Spyders are much more affected by road imperfections than 2 wheelers. When you're on 2 lane back country roads there are many dips and rises and other imperfections in the road surface that will make even the well adjusted :spyder2: want to wander. A soft touch on the handle bars and more...

    Arkansas Tornado's, Deadly

Some of those houses were literally reduced to nothing but a concrete pad. Nothing of the house remained. Unless you had an external storm shelter and were in it, you were a goner.

Help from brothers and sisters of Spyderlovers.

I would recommend against making any decisions at this time. Let your husband have time to heal before making any decisions. He may not be able to ride two wheels, but it is hard for me to believe he couldn't ride a Spyder in the future. Times like this are very emotional and not necessarily the...

    What is my Spyder worth?

Your :spyder2: is worth what you can sell it for. If you want a quick sale, price it low. If you want a slow sale, price it mid. If you don't want to sell it, price it high. It's like the guy that "won't take a loss on his house." It's on the market for 3 years and doesn't sell.

Supposedly, if you only change the intake OR the exhaust, no fuel controller is necessary.

The latest 10 day forecast says Wed, 4/30 is expected to have rain with a high of 45 and a low of 36. Thursday, 5/1 is showing cloudy skies with a high of 60 and a low of 39. It's too early for Friday and Saturday in the 10 day forecast.

Making the 2013 Spyder RT-S "Perfect"

If I'm reading those tables correctly, fuel is being added at part throttle and subtracted when the throttle is at 60% and above. That would tell me the engine was running lean at cruise, which is expected, but I'm somewhat surprised that at full throttle, the OEM mixture may need to be leaned...

Kelly Blue Book Value on RT SE5 Limted

We saw the same thing when the 2007 Harley touring bikes came out with the 96 cu in engine and 6 speed tranny. The value of the 2006 tourers dropped considerably as everyone wanted the bigger engine and 6 speed. After a couple of years, things settled down and the difference in values was much...

    Tire Life

It entirely depends on where and how you ryde. 95% of my mileage is aggressive ryding on Ozark Mountain twisties. I've got 3000 miles on my back tyre and the dealer said it was 75% gone. So, mine will only last about 4000 miles. My next back tire is a Kumho.

    SM10

I presume you mean SMH10? The current firmware version for SM10 is 1.1 from Oct 2012. Are you using Sena Device Manager for Mac V 2.0.1? Also, the SMH10 takes firmware version 5.0.1, while the SMH10R takes 5.0. Are you trying to install the correct version? If the answers to these questions...

    Kumho Ecsta AST Tire Question

I was talking to someone yesterday about the Kumho Ecsta AST on the rear of an RT. Their comment was that while it would wear longer than the OEM tire it wouldn't provide as much traction or be as safe. What say those of you who have been using this tire?

    Mileage on back Tire

In Missouri if ANY part of the tread is less than 2/32" deep then the tire must be replaced to pass a safety inspection. In reality, if you are only going to ryde on dry pavement, then you're probably good to go until there's no tread left. Not my recommendation, but it's your life.
