• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any easy way to Bleed Brakes & ABS Module?

Haven't bled the ABS on 1330 yet, but on the 998's I used a 1/4 drive socket with about 12" extension with a 1/2" socket. Took off tupperware on left side, lowered the socket down center front of the engine. Was able to put one eye on the bleeder and got socket on the bleeder. Cracked it open...

    DESS Key code again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure this has been mentioned - find someone local that has BUDS and can DISABLE that module. I can do it in 10 minutes. You also can then buy $2 keys that will work as spares to hide. I have BUDS 1 & 2 and can do any year now. Even if 1 in a 1,000 bikes have this happen, it's too much!

Oh that dreaded spark plug failure

I worked on a friends byke that was jerking trying to take off. In the end was a cracked plug! Of course on the right side. Factory plug too. No idea why, never has seen this before. Put in the the fine tip version. Was a 2013 ST-S VTwin.

    Swaybars - Slingmods vs BajaRon's?

I have installed 3 BajaRon and 1 Spyder Extra sway bars over the years. Not sure about yours, but my Spyder Extra bar was silver and had a bumpy finish. Baja Ron bars were all smooth black powder coat and looks a lot better (maybe the extra $50?). Back then the Spyder extra was a real PAIN to...

    Shoutout to RLS Exhaust

I bought a shiny new F3-L, and wanted the cat gone. There are many cat deletes out there but RLS was the only one that was black anodized (or powder coated, not sure) but looked good on my F3. The F3 lets you see everything, didn't want an ugly cat delete breaking up my black chrome F3!

    Windshield pro's and con's

The nose knows I'm 6'5" and the stock windshield let the wind smack my helmet around. Got a taller shield. When you sit on the bike the top of the shield should be at your nose (according to many manufacturers). I found a used one on eBay, and all the wind is gone, and I can hear my stereo now.

Newbie, buying question - wait until 2022 models drop, or...?

I would just stick to 2020+, that is the latest frame. It has the nice removable trunk with cool things you can add like coolers, etc. Has a lock in the trunk. I would just look for a BRP rebate! I got a 2020 with a $3K rebate. Take the saved money and start accessorizing!

998cc dogging out and chatter in 1st and reverse

Hi! I saw same issue on a friends 998cc. In the end - you won't believe this - found a cracked spark plug!! Never seen this before. OF COURSE it was the right side, had to tear down half the bike to get to it. Took it out and saw an obvious crack. Firstly I took my spark plug tester at the...

Newbie Here: BRP Connect worth using?

I do like the GPS that comes with the BRP app. I connected my phone to the BRP connect; then paired my helmet's GPS/phone2 to the BRP connect. Can use Siri now. Also I use Amazon Prime music. The BRP connect can do all the controls. Overall other than the music, I don't use the BRP connect...

    Some Red Dust

I ordered one a few weeks ago. Google the part number "705503239 CAN AM" . Also get the bolt as it can be stressed. My pulley went flying into a corn field!! ANY little noise, especially when slowing down, change it. Over 20K on bike change it. I had to change it out on each 2008 I had...

Engine light & Check Transmission = dead angle rotation sensor - easy fit?

If you search these forums I posted a lot of info about that. You have to take of the front pulley (I also advise buying a new style white pulley and bolt that just came out). Basically: Take off the lower shock bolt nut. Start jacking up near the back of the bike on the frame. Go slow until...

Oil leak 2021 400 miles HELP

Happened to me once - checking oil before leaving on a long trip. About 3-4 miles in started smoking! Found oil not a lot, just wet) on top of engine. Lost several hours until I realized the handle for the dipstick wasn't fully seated!! That last little 1/8 turn is hard and it must click into place.

Codes C0040 & C006C with Limp Home Mode - fixed!

Thanks! I just had the exact codes after a hard stop in 45mph traffic. No blown fuses though - but I do have a couple things attached to the brakes: trailer wiring, and a flasher for LEDs strips on the trunk. Thanks for the write up!

Did you figure this out? I have the exact issue now! Happened after the wife stopped hard doing about 45mph. Now, just pushing the brake pedal triggers it sitting idle...

    BRP Backrest question

Thanks for the feedback! It does appear I have a mis-match. 2" is EXACTLY the distance the mount needs to come forward, so I'm guessing I have the STANDARD seat?? If the comfort seat moves the driver back 2" that would be where my backrest would want to be - but it ain't. The BRP# is...

How bad it is without fenders?

I have a GS without front fenders at the moment, but don’t ride in the rain. They got smashed during a loading process so took them off until I can get replacement. I kinda like the look, but again it’s a sunny day rider. I can imagine the rooster trails the front tires would kick up on me and...

    BRP Backrest question

Hi all, I just got a backrest for my 2016 RTS. I installed per the directions, I know the plate under the seat is correct. However when backrest is installed, it is pulling the vinyl back about 1/2”. I have checked the installation against the picture in the instructions. The locking mechanism...
